Monitor LD Points Scored instead of damage

This new feature will allow LD points scored to be tracked on individual players. It will be shown in the report next to the players name. It will work like this:

Say Player A caps point 1. Now every time point 1 scores, it will get added to Player A's total score for the end round total.
Now for more than one person captures the same point, it will get added to all of there scores. So scores may not always add up to the score limit to win.

This will not only discourage damage hogs and selfish players, but encourage people to actually cap the points, what LD is actually about, eh whaddya know!. This will stop specific people from strictly going for damage in game which is irrelevant to the objective of LD. People will also be able to compete for these types of scores while helping their team, so both parties win.

I actually really like this idea. Currently points are scored by and for the team in general but it'd be great to do it this way.

This suggestion has been made by others before (including myself) and it is probably the one addition I'd like to see on the scoreboard (in addition to # deaths and # revives). It is also an easy thing to implement.

Captures and points earned is a different statistic. Example scoreboard of a 900 pt game:

Player A - 12 Caps - 220
Player B - 4 Caps - 690

Player B's caps are "more valuable" than Player A's--mostly because player B probably fought off all of the enemies who attempted to take his caps (Striker / Guardian) or successfully deterred/stalled them from stealing his caps (Guardian / Bomber). Player A is capping, but is unable to maintain any caps that generate points for his team. (Which is not necessarily a bad thing either. Excessive capping is a good way to draw attention away from your 'main' caps that you want to generate points. You get to see Player A's "role" in the game.)

It's not the perfect representation, but it helps--the scoreboard helps paint a picture of what people were doing during the game.

This system would actually encourage you to cap in groups than to capture solo (which is kind of a good thing since then players cap faster and spend less overall time capping) since you can "piggy back" your points score off other players--ie. if Player A and B cap the same point, then A runs around capping other crap while B holds down and defends the cap, Player A is getting a better score for Player B's work.

Deaths / Revives # would be nice too for the damage-centered players, as it would be useful to compare kill:death ratios.

No one will care about any of the other stats you add as long as damage or K/D is visible.

OOO doesn't care about LD.
Multiple people have made suggestions like this (and more elaborate ones as well), in the past.
They'll just ignore this one as well.

May the force be with you.

@Kilp
I really hope they never add K/D to it. If they did, they may as well just remove it and dmg from LD and make Superbrawl again.
