And this is why I'm done with Spiral Knights. At least for a very, very long time.

I've spent too much time on this game, trying my luck with boxes, events, running vana, etc.
I managed to get together a great amount of luck and fortune and find myself with some leafy auras and 1st gen shadow wings (the wings from the obsidian event- I couldnt be happier that I got a previously unreleased, mostly unheard-of item. I had gotten bids at around 2 million for each alone.)

And then the flash sales.
Suddenly, everyone can buy the leafy auras I had worked so hard to get for 7 or 8kCE.

But that didn't stop me. I still had my shadow wings! All of my crowns and hard work were still invested in these super rare items most people had never even heard of. Perfect for collectors.

And now these flash sales again. The wings I had offers on for 2 mil and rising, available only from a rare obsidian prize box drop and nothing more..
Sold to everyone for 8.9k on the flash depot.

So twice I've lost my hard work to Kozma and her "flash sales".

I've been a huge supporter of SK and their GMs and creators. Heck, I even made a huge forum tribute for them a while back:
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/89286

But Nick left (presumably because the staff won't release anything new and instead is focusing solely on the money aspect), and I have to agree with him and follow suit. Yes, I supported their making money when it had a reason- everyone should want their favorite game to bring in profit so the game continues to improve, get even better, and fashion more updates, etc.

"So the game continues to improve"
Updates, anyone? Noticeable hard work and changes?
All I've seen are warden boxes and flash sales.
I thought we had a growing community. I don't even care anymore, bleh.

And I know it doesnt matter to anyone that I'm done, but I am. I'm just, done. I really don't have anything anymore besides some worthless auras and wings, and there's nothing to look forward to besides vana, vana, vana.

bye

Woah woah woah woah lets get a few things straight here.

No actually, I don't even care. Just forget it. It isn't worth arguing with you. Go do your thing.

You're coming onto the forums to prove a point that I've been trying to make for a few months now. That OOO needs to do a better job communicating with people.

Here's what I mean:

"presumably because the staff won't release anything new and instead is focusing solely on the money aspect"

Where did you get this from? The fact that Nick didn't tell us why he actually left.

And then you prove ANOTHER point that I keep trying to get across- that people don't care whether OOO needs time for updates etcetera, and that what they need is a means of quickly releasing updates to quell what you're saying- that you're angry because there hasn't been an update in a while. Hashtag Spiral Knights Level Editor, all over.

I'm so funny I should be a forum clown or something..

Inb4 u ungrateful wench..

Think twice before assuming a 'rare' item will be worth a lot of profit. Especially accessories.

I sold large fireworks for a small profit before prices went through the roof..

You'll be back in the summer.

Flash sales are the second best thing to happen to Spiral Knights.

If you didn't notice.. he said "presumably", he didn't get from anywhere other than thinking of that specific reason himself..
