New Status: Confusion

PLAYER
Duration: 10 seconds
Effect 1: Controls are reversed for movement. Defend and attack controls are also reversed.
Effect 2: Player has a chance of taking damage if attacking.

MONSTER
Duration: 10 seconds
Effect 1: Chance monster will walk around randomly. As if player is invisible.
Effect 2: Chance of monster attacking itself or another monster close by.

Your thoughts?

This status seems okay. Though I think that there could be some changes in the status.

what would the effect be on monsters? and how about slower attacking instead of a damage chance?

Edited op to include monster effects. Thoughts?

Also slow attacks would be similar to Stun. Confusion damage will be similar to Curse. But you won't know which weapons will do damage to you. They will all have a chance of doing damage.

slow is also similar to stun but it's still slow. fire is similar to shock but it's still fire. freeze is similar to sleep but it's still freeze.
monster effects are good, actually.

EDIT: how about enabling friendly fire while the status is on. I know, I know, bombers, but brandishes and polarises.

How would we inflict it?

Confusion seems like a nice branch off of stun, and less annoying in the sense in one your just disoriented but you can still do something about if you have a flexible head. I find stun annoying in the fact that you move really slow long enough for it to get re inflicted and all you can do if be ready to move for when it lets up but at least its a short duration.

But one question how would we inflict it? (my suggestion new tornado bomb that suck up small enemies flinging then around in the air causing then to loose there since of direction)

Other suggestion: for both enemies and monster... or maybe just monsters have it turn friendly fire on.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea, because of "Controls are reversed for movement". Not everyone can handle with this easily. And on certain moments it can really put some people on trouble.
