I've played this game for about 2 years now and I say that the mist tank thing was a pain, but taking away the ability to level your weapons unless you buy Fire Crystals?
Come on, this is probably the worst I've seen yet for a cashwall and makes playing the game even more of a pain and requires you to spend even /MORE/
money to acquire these crystals or Hours, and I mean HOURS of grinding in order to acquire them.
Like I'd rather have mist tanks be brought back if it's going to be this big of a pain to level your weapons and armor now.
I know that the game must make a steady income, but this is increasing the size of the money it'd require to normally craft or level a set.
What do you think would happen if Blizzard was like, " HAHA WE'RE GONNA MAKE YOU PAY A DOLLAR EACH TIME YOU LEVEL UP YOUR CHARACTER IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT, SORRY THAT'S JUST HOW WE WORK."
Jeeze it'd be painful and I'm pretty sure 65% or more of the players would just leave the game.
Please take this into consideration that it is a literal pain to level up your items now, I'm not trying to come off offensive or anything but it's just obnoxious now when I know that I have to empty my wallet in order to play the game.

Elevators are free, and radiant fire crystals drop rate has been increased.

Yeah, I can feel you. The

Yeah, I can feel you. The game really needs less grinding, for what it gives it's not really worth it.

Too bad there are people who think otherwise...

and I mean HOURS of grinding in order to acquire them.

I don't really see any other MMO doing any different. The thing that Spiral Knights has over them though is that whether you grind to give your weapons an extra 15% damage or not doesn't separate you from other players in PvE like some huge freaking level wall.

Y'know how in (insert nearly any MMORPG here) where if someone's a measly 5 levels higher than you (in say, a 100 level system) they're practically carrying you through everything? I HATE that, it really fractures the player base into tiny little shards of community and makes it very difficult for people with even slightly different play hours to play together until very late game

If you're talking about hating "grinding", a.k.a, playing similar content repeatedly because a game does not have and will not ever have an infinite amount of new content then I'm afraid you're looking in the wrong place for the wrong things. Everything you do in life will at some point be a repeat of something you've done previously (Some people tend to try to escape this fact with a "midlife crisis") and the sooner you find joy in your life, the less you'll care about monotony of pretty much everything. Okay I'm going to shut up now because it's no longer being a paragraph about the game and instead has become a paragraph about philosophy and lifestyle.
