Ever since I've put this game on Steam it's had multiple issues, i've turned off the overlay and that didn't do anything, i've uninstalled and re-installed, still nothing. The game randomly crashes without warning, random text appears in places it should not, pictures get mixed up with other pictures in places they shouldn't be, I don't know what is going on.. I have a windows 8 laptop that was basically made for gaming, i'm starting to think maybe it has something to do with Windows 8?
My system info is here. someone please respond soon.

Hehe.

Sorry, I cant help but laugh that you apparently have negative virtual ram and installed windows 8 before it came out.

Anyways. If we can trust other things, try updating drivers. DX says Sept 2012. Others are likely out of date as well (like graphics).

It could also be an issue with the integrated graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000, though I'm not experience enough to say what the problem is.

Made for gaming?

Driver: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 <-- Made for gaming?

If you check your Laptop hull btw. Does it have a sign with nVidia or AMD or something. If yes then it means the log isn't showing everything we need. If there is no AMD or nVidia logo, then I have to say: That laptop isn't made for gaming AT ALL.

HD Graphics 4000 is a built-in GPU and is to my experience a fairly weak one too. I'm honestly thinking that the log isn't showing your main videocard since it's disabled when you aren't playing a game.

@Skepticraven
Virtual RAM? That's Video RAM bro. Since the GPU isn't dedicated it also doesn't have its own VRAM so it uses part of the 8GB RAM as "VRAM" so it makes sense that it has a negative number.
