I saw in the SK wiki, there was supposed to be a vog cub, never seem by players, but can be seem on the SK promotional video. Will they be really implemented some day or it is just a monster that doesn't matter?

you can see the video, then skip to 0:25 where the vog cubs appear

What do you think?

I have no mouth and I need to scream

You know, I'm curious as well. Lets ask the hundreds of players that skinned the cubs and are now wearing them as fashion clothing.

They were old enemies that were shown in the Spiral Knights preview.

No clue if they were in the beta, as the only hard enemy I remember fighting was the Tortodrone.

If they can bring back Tortodrones...

Vog DLC anyone?

BETA FTW.

No, OOO has no intention of bringing it back unfortunately.

Confirmation source, please? I have heard nothing of them publicly announcing that they are not going to bring them back.

@DLC idea
Personally I am not fond of the idea of having exclusive levels and such. It just locks off parts of the game to those who don't/can't buy in. Though on the other hand I have no way of knowing whether Three Rings has the leisure of worrying about it from a business standpoint. I hear costume-only micro-transactions bring very little income.

Maybe, but if the game itself is pretty good and if the updates are frequent, the game is more likely to be profitable in the long term than if the same game is stained with all sort of nefarious microtran$actions.

That said, it would be cool if the Vogs could spawn in the place of alpha wolvers as rare monsters.

Well, OOO said they are planning to bring back sleep, tortodrones and the Shrine of slumber. This implies they aren't coming back and even if they are coming back OOO isn't in a rush. Trust me, I was there to FIGHT them. I miss em' more than you guys do.

I thought you were Bopp for a sec.

More importantly, look at that guy's shield at 0:02, second one from the back. Interesting white shield.

I also noticed the Blast bombs blast radius is quite a bit smaller than now.

Lolz, its there go to vana.

Lolz, its there go to vana. If you fgo to vana at one point where you throw the water on the fire and the wheels come before that part, you fight a lot of monsters and at the last round there are 2 vog cubs (they look like greyish orangish reddish volvers)

Eh, I'm sure that given enough time they'll bring them back along with everything else. How much time is a different question, but within the vicinity of 5 years its plausible.

That is a pretty baseless assumption to make and doesn't confirm anything.

Shadows don't cast light, do they?

XD that Tortodrone tap right at the end was wonderful. Also, can we point out the GIGANTIC spookats? Eeep. Halfway between a normal spookat and a grimalkin. Who knows, maybe you can actually hit those ones mid-dash.

Black Kats?

Black kats are rather large in-off themselves. Being event only means they're a little bit more of a bugger to fight, but the idea is still there I guess.

Riiiight, right. Forgot about the Black Kats. But no, the spookats in the video are the freeze type, and they look the size of a Black Kat. Threw me for a second. That whole video compared to what the game looks like now is drastically different in places....

What i noticed was right at the end where they tried to promote good points about the game, e.g. cooperative, real-time gameplay, etc.
What got me was this one: no grinding.

Yep. No grinding. You reached endgame within an hour or three of gameplay and then there was nothing to do after that.
No grinding indeed.

No, no "hey, you made a nice game, c'mon earn money with it" part. There was no thing as "endgame", the armor didn't have 1*,2* or something like that. So you got the set and it was like that, no tiers, no cheap difficulty, defense that works....
