You know gear like the Grand Tortoise? Or Volcanic Plate Shield? Or Triglav? Or Warmaster Rocket Hammer?

You know those bars right how strong the gear is? Well what you see there isn't actually true at all. The strength of those items go beyond that meter and that honestly annoys me. It doesn't show what the actual strength of the weapon is. I'm suggesting this would be changed that in some way it will actually show the amount of strength the item has that is less deceiving.

Maybe something like with the health bar. That it turns into white blocks when it goes beyond the maximum. But in the case of the items maybe yellow. This would actually be nice since it will be less deceiving. Thx for reading my post.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

I say just switch to numbers instead.

Most bars lie anyway. Did you know that Snarbolax Cap/Coat are weak to Curse?

*cough* Gran Faust having more attack speed than Divine Avenger *cough cough* Both bars are wrong since DA's attack speed shows just as fast as a Troika which it is not, and Gran Faust shows being just as fast as a Brandish, which it clearly is not.

Though no, Snarbolax Line isn't weak to curse I just tested it. 43 seconds on a non curse set and 43 seconds on Snarbolax Set. 33 seconds on Almirian Set. 59 seconds with Black Kat Cowl only. (<-- Ooooooouuuchhh...)

@The-Dragon-Child

You take more damage with Snarbolax while cursed than you would while wearing most armor.

Unless they stealth patched it.

+1, even just to compare weponry and armor.

You take more damage with Snarbolax while cursed than you would while wearing most armor.

curse damage is proportional to the damage of the thing you are swinging, so the sword damage med makes the curse damage go higher than normal. source: zeddy. try with skolver/ shadowsun(this one with guns).

Curse is normal damage. So its affected by armor. Also, what Thunder-The-Bright said.

"You like bars to be precise dontcha?"

Yes, actually. I quite enjoy it when my gear doesn't lie to me. Being lied to by precise looking statistics and bars isn't something I particularly enjoy.

it seems quite obvious now.
and curse should be shadow damage, the source being the different damages monsters take.

@ The curse discussion.

Bring up numbers/sources.
My source [Line 445 to 485, and line 504-510]

Weapons do not affect damage, nor do armor. Curse resistance, damage bonus, and depth definitely play with the numbers.
Compared: AP first shot to GF first swing.
Compared: GF swing wearing drake scale to GF swing wearing ancient plate.
Compared: GF swing wearing chaos hood to GF swing wearing drake scale.
Compared: GF swing wearing almarian crusader to GF swing wearing drake scale.

That of course means I took everything into account as I should have.

You might think that Snarby does more curse damage because Zeddy's Topic. I've done some testing on this, and the curse damage is more because of snarby's damage bonus, which also increases this damage.

Um, my head is spinning. Some people are telling me that curse damage is effected by normal defense, curse resist, and the weapon you are wielding and whatnot.

I'll just say "Attacking while cursed hurts." Nuff said~

But to use a more agreed upon argument: Speed of the GF.

I'm..

...glad people agree with me on this. It's been a pain not being able to predict how much strength an item has when they are over the max the meters can show.

Yes!

I miss the days of danger meter, mist, and actually ever bribing krogmo..... *sighs*

But Beta style percentage resist would be awesome!
