Since the Equinox Event, energy prices have gone down about 800-1000cr from ~6800-7000 to 6000.

You're seriously not happy with low ce/cr rates? For a f2p this is a dream! Although we were living the 'actual' dream back in the old days. For me the best was around 4kcr per 100ce.
not if he's a p2p and wants to sell. The game needs both after all.
Yeah you have a point there. Tbh even a f2p needs prices to go up sometimes.
I'm f2p. I haven't spent a penny on this game...
...but at this point, I've accumulated 15k ce.
Deflating prices don't help. They hurt. Prices need to perpetually inflate so previous investors from nothing have something to hold onto.
Otherwise, the energy you buy before becomes worth less in the future. It encourages a paradox of thrift.
As it is, the game is biased to pay to play players against free to play players. Consumers from real life cash end up pressuring investors from the game.
Also, it hurts people who are trying to get into the game.
Cash is being sucked out of the low end of the market towards energy sellers into the high end of the market. In other words, cheap goods are becoming cheaper, but expensive goods are becoming more expensive...
...so what happens is free to play players have an easy time getting into the game, but then they have a hard time developing in the game.
Likewise, free to play players can't sell food as easily since it goes cheaper. The exception to the rule here I've seen is power motes. In other words, alternative forms of making income have been hurt as well.
The one advantage is orbs have become effectively cheaper, but everything else has become more expensive since higher end players have more cash to spend from selling so much energy.
The market's become a divisive mess.
The market has always been a mess. Especially since the FSC mission launched.
I don't think it should keep going up just so the energy you bought earlier would be worth more. Otherwise that would discourage f2ps from buying it in the future.
If you want to make profit from the energy market then it should keep going up and down. Sell when it's high, rebuy when it's low, basic stuff right?
Ive never seen energy this low before.. its quite scary tbh
Last I saw them anywhere that low was...a long time ago as far as I can remember. The market shot to 9K then crashed to 6K a while back.

These come in phases, and 3 rings orchestrates the phases with promos and events.
By default, Energy is consumed throughout the game (for purchases, upgrades, slots, etc). That dwindling amount of energy leads to a raise in energy prices.
Promos (pardon the pun) promote people to buy energy, and from that, lets energy back into the market as they sell it to buy things with crowns. Successful promos (successful as in they provide items that people find worth paying for) push the prices lower at a more significant rate.
When there's a lull in promos, the prices will go back up as they're consumed.
Well, that's how it's gone before, anyway.
With the Mist Energy system, energy was guaranteed to be consumed at a high rate, so you could really feel it (8-9k per 100 energy!) when less people were buying (with real money) energy and selling it for CR. Demand was insane. The division point there was that T3 players could play and afford another round of gameplay via FSC, while T2 and below were essentially losing out and forced to stop playing after their mist ran out. Energy was 4-5k for me when I started, so it was actually possible to get hooked and keep going as F2P back then lol. Would have definitely been a nightmare to have to pay 8-9k for energy as a T2 player.
Bringing that up and looking at it, I realize that removing energy was a huge win for new F2P players. ¦3
I'm not sure how big of a demand energy is nowadays, but at the very least, it's not obtrusive to gameplay when the prices go up.
Perhaps during SK's anniversary there will be a change.
I hope Twilight aura is released in boxes like sprinkle was last year. Reason why Twilight because it obviously has that space/beyond name to it, obviously with connection to the equinox promo :)
(I know this won't happen but I can dream can't I)
Personally I have bought ce in a long time either ever since orbs came out, you can blame this on the excessive eternal orb drop in the earlier patches of last year, if the drop where a lot lower from the beginning this would be as bad but I currently have about 8 more craft from 5 star orb so that would have been 6400 ce I would have needed to buy.
The current sk has very few reasonable crown sinks left, such sparks of life, trinket/weapon slots, and maybe shadow keys (and advance/elite orbs at times) but overall these are that high trinket and weapon slot cost 800 ce a month if you buy 2 of each and sparks depend on the person but for the most part you don't them.
We also have alot of crown sink especially with the current event many people are trying to get the rare box item so that could explain the sudden drop.
I though the ce price would sky rocket after mist was removed because free elevator means more crown in the market but with the orbs ce became near useless.
As for a good ce price that would be rather fair for every body, well when mist was around the fair price would be between 6.5-7.5k cr but right now with free elevator I'd say the most reasonable price would be between 8-9k cr because there no limit to your daily income on crown anymore.
You guys realize both the Equinox and the Solstice happen twice a year, right? Expect the seasonal promo every 3 months from now on.
Hopefully OOO realized that making absolutely SICK looking accessories (the awesome wings) wasn't enough to hold substantial interest for more than a week.
Need solid content (like tortodrones, but permanent).
IMO shadow lairs are a great source for E spending, and are pretty entertaining. They should try something like this:
Create some aspect of the game where you can never really beat it, but you can be better than everyone else.
A good example would be a temple run concept (infinite).
Lokdown is sort of like this, but needs quite a bit of work.
Maybe infinite spawns, or something so hard that even the losers that solo elite UFSC would wet their pants.
Like...ultima versions of each boss? Or an Ultimate gate, where everything does extremely high damage, and has improved AI (Slightly more health, but not 4x health, thats just cheap difficulty increase).
Bring back the tracking zombie swipes, smartwolves, and other stuff that made FSC entertainingly difficult for more people that newbs.
Depends what they do after this promo. If they do another supply depot flash sale/boxes sold there then energy will go back up again.
