Umm.. "it's" can imply both "it is" and "it has". His sentence is grammatically correct as far as I know. Since it can be "So far it's worked" or "It's worked so far". Both using "It has".
Though yea. Back to OP. I'm kinda feeling worried too. All theses boxes make me feel like Three Rings is getting a bit desperate with getting money in. Especially when they ended up putting that shield in it. (The shield is useless though, so I guess it isn't as Pay2Win like if you would actually put something useful in it.)
PS: I'm also not implying that I know the English grammar flawlessly. Since I don't speak English as my native language. I was just defending the post that a certain guy tried to "correct".

Grrrr. I can't help that my galaxy s4 autosucks at correcting words. That's the reason why I keep editing my posts. S4 gives you 3 options above the keyboard to auto correct/add a word that it thinks you are typing. I type quite fast so naturally my thumb spaz attacks the 'apparent' correct word.

The guns from the gunner update aren't all reskinned. There are some new models in it which is nice. I am also fairly certain that the gunner update isn't restricted to that little amount of features. It has been announced as a massive update and has been delayed twice since first announcement. Which means OOO is either working on something really big, or they are just trying to stretch time. Your guess based on how optimistic or pessimistic you are haha. Though yea I'm feeling kinda optimistic about it.

@The-Dragon-Child: The guns are reskins in a sense... although that's an assumption. We are assuming the guns will work the same way as currently existing guns, just do different damage types and status types. If we are right about that assumption, then technically the guns aren't totally brand new guns because they don't work differently (attack and charge styles) than current guns. For instance, the Umbra Driver line is a reskin of the Nova Driver line. The Magma, Hail, and Storm Drivers would also be reskins of the Nova Driver. But that all depends on how far you want to take the word "reskin."

You're messing up the definition of reskin.
Reskin means you are using the exact same gun (Parts, bullets, mechanics) and putting a new look on it. It will function and will be used for the exact same purpose. This isn't restricted to different textures only, it can also be entire different models. Something like The Bitter End. It is stats-wise exactly the same as the Grey Owlite Shield, making it a reskin.
Weapons that look similar but have different stats aren't reskins.
Btw. Alchemers being similar has a good reason. You ever seen a single rifle in real life? It can have different presets: Different ammunition type/scope/barrel/grip/magazine/stock/accessories. All of this makes it situationally useful. For example close range vs long range. It is still the exact same gun though. This also is being realized in the Alchemer series. Umbra, Nova, Magma, Storm, Hail.. They are all Alchemers. They are all supposed to be the same gun but with different presets. Making them situationally useful. This doesn't make them reskins though as they are used for completely different purposes.
Hail excels in CC. Nova, Umbra and Magma excel in damage with Magma doing the most damage situationally (When enemies don't resist fire. Edit: And when they don't resist elemental either. Hue.). Storm is more of a balance between damage and CC, it excels greatly vs groups of enemies since shock becomes more effective the more enemies are cluttered up together. That's the main reason why Voltedge + Vortex is used together a lot, having a lot of enemies standing really close to eachother makes the damage output of Voltedge exceed any other Brandish, even Combuster.

I think there trying to make more possible income if anything is an example of desperation it would be when promo boxes could only be obtain rather than getting one free with every $9.95 purchase, I found and funny and relieved when three ring went back to the with purchase method, I guess after a while they saw it just didn't work. That could have been an act of desperation or and experimental new marketing gimmick. But I do have to agree that waaay to many promo's

Didn't they lose two devs? I think I read that in another post. So now, they have to "make up" for that I bet. Why else would you do the promos so close together? It was way too much in too little time in my opinion. And it's when you purchase CE with $$. Nope, doesn't sound like they want/need money at all :D
OOO aren't desperate. They just love making us wait. Keeps us "interested". So far it's worked.
Edit: re-skinned guns? How did you work that one out?
