Does crafting a 5* version of the titled weapons make much of a change? (to determine whether it's worth upgrading vs saving radiants for something else)
Things I'm wondering about:
1) Charges
2) Bullet speed
3) Bullet size
4) Bullet range

Charges:
5* Brandishes have an extra explosion on the charge, as well as slightly bigger AoE.
5* Alchemers get an insanely stronger charge. Well worth it if you happen to use the charge attacks a lot.
Valiance has basically the same charge as Master Blaster.

Bullet speed:
Alchemers and Valiance have about the same bullet speed as their 4* counterpart.

Bullet size:
Alchemers have the same bullet size.
Valiance gets a huge boost to bullet size.

Bullet range:
Alchemers have the same range.
Valiance has slightly lower range than Master Blaster.

A quick conclusion:
It's worth it to upgrade to 5* Brandish if you can heat it to about Level 5. Alchemers can be upgraded if you tend to use the charge attack a lot, but the loss of CTR might be a little annoying if you don't use CTR gear. You can just ignore this if you do use CTR gear.
Valiance is a little more special, it loses a bit of range for a huge size bonus on regular bullets. If you're good at aiming, it's probably better to just keep it at Master Blaster until you can heat Valiance to about Level 7.

If you like your gear, its worth upgrading it. However, regardless of what it is, make sure to farm the radiants ahead of time if you're going to have rely on it for anything. I would personally farm to about 300-350ish radiants before crafting the gear in question- if you use all of the 100% chances, its 453 to heat it all the way.

It would be best to combine

It would be best to combine advice from both of those posts.

Everything poster #1 said is true. But all that is pretty much useless aesthetics unless you can heat it.

You will need :
-72 Radiants per item to achieve lvl 5 for the ctr low bonus
-165 Radiants per item to surpass the damage dealt consistently by the lvl 10 4* weapon.
-453 per item to achieve level 10

Lastly, by stronger charge, Alchemers gain 2 extra bullets on the charge, after the main one splits.

This thread also poses a method to potentially reserve radiants while heating lots of equipment. It may be advisable to use this method if you are working on 5+ weapons and armor pieces. If it is only a couple, it will probably be less frustrating to simply do max fire.
