Where do I find cake in clockworks? I remember I can find em in clockworks but I forgot where to find em. Anyone know?

If you look in Arcade maps, Clockwork tunnels are stages with the "gear" icon.
As far as missions... I can't really think of any off the top of my head right now, haha.

A good trick
Go to depth 1 of Amber Falcon gate and speedrun, looking for it without killing anything. Rinse and repeat and you'll get swag in no time.

Yes, except for Deconstruction Zones, which also have the gear icon. Avoid those.

Does difficulty affect cake slices? It doesn't seem so for me, but I could just be lucky on Normal and not so lucky on Elite.

So far, tier doesn't matter. Getting 4-5 on elite per run, 2 on the only normal run I did.
I ran with a group of 4, we each sped through Amber Falcon first/ninth depth solo, skipping monsters.Once we found cakes, we invited the rest of the group.

Try the clockwork tunnels, you will know when you find there hide out because it will be covered in sprinkles and frosting.
