its just a usefull function.
say there's a health pod i wanan grab but dont wanna drop any items..save for the useless mechaknight i have accidentally been carrying for half the lvl now.. or mayb i wanna share one of MY pills w a friend who hasnt any of his own - esp at crucial times.
i dont wanna waste my resources on a mechaknight. things like this.
so..any chance we'll get back the function to drop items off the hotbar??

Edit - also bring back old loot feature. idk if anyone has talked about this.
but 'back in my day' you only needed one knight to pickup everythng - and it was great cuz it kept the party moving. now my runs are held up by atleast half a minute(small zones) or so because guys n gals are running around picking up loot they missed.
so we dont share loot, fine, its all still on the same map though -.-.

Hmm...

I want the ability to drop items as well, but have them be dropped for the client, not the server. With everyone not sharing loot anymore, we get 4 times the health capsules.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

This was removed in order to fix an exploit which aloud players to effectively carry an infinite amount of Health Capsules throughout a level. (But not between levels.)

The new loot system was put in place to prevent alt farming, which was necessary because alts no longer needed mist so everyone could bring around as many alts as they wanted. This was coupled with the revive changes to effectively destroy alt farming. Which is a good thing. We all hated it at the time, but now it's more of an inconvenience than anything else.
