I got 4 five star weapons and 2 five star armor most of the stuff is only at level four mostly cause of double level ups
there are 3 solutions to this to increase the radiant drop chance, to decrease the amount of crystals needed and to remove the forge entirely

The radiant fire crystals drop rate has already been increased. Have you tried grinding Firestorm Citadel?

I wish they could either

I wish they could either increase the unit packages at the Supply Depot up to 100 rads per 700ce, or remove shinings from depth 25 and onward and replace them with Radiants. Shadow Lairs are not my friends, i did Red Roarmulus Twins on elite difficulty but i got like 9-15 Radiants.

Have you tried playing on elite?
Have you tried doing depths that are worth while?

If you're grinding compounds (not compound 42) for radiants, then you're not doing it right.

Bad choice

Deconstruction Zones are a bad option for radiants since they offer few treasure boxes, Treasure Vaults are good though. I strongly recommend you to grind FSC for radiants, it's still hard to find a good place to farm them, but sometimes you get quite a good number of radiants at FSC, sometimes you get almost nothing too... Anyway if you really want to do something other than FSC then look for Clockwork Tunnels because they may offer danger rooms. Look for Mechanized Miles, Power Complexes, Haunted/Infernal Passages, etc. I really hope they do something about radiant fire crystal drop rates, although that update increased the drop rates a bit, they are still a bit messed up. FSC seems to give more radiants than Shadow Lairs, what is going on?

"Im grinding deconstruction zones and tresure vaults for radiants"

With my data, deconstruction zones are ranked 13/15 (3rd worst) depth type for box counts.
Treasure vaults are unreliable for getting to, but rank 2/15.
Check the link in my last post for all the arcade rankings [assuming you open all energy gates].

@Zethalan

I haven't gone on a SL run since the change, but noticed that D29 in OCH had the radiant rates reduced. It is possible that they messed stuff up with depths labeled as ??? that act as deeper than 28.

@Zethalan

Deconstruction zones are easiest to loot cause its basically a bunch of gremlins and constructs running around just get the key and leave

@Mr-Happykiller
Wrong. I agree that they are easy but Deconstruction Zones offer few treasure boxes, usually around 5 or 6 of them, which means you will heave a low chance of getting Radiants, while Clockwork Tunnels offer more than them, and they may also include danger rooms, which have a good mix of green and red boxes. Take a look at Skepticraven's database.

@Skepticraven
I haven't gone on a OCH run recently, i did it when they already made the patch but i did it on normal just to get mask fragments fast, but i don't hope to get a reasonable amount of radiants there. As for the Shadow Lairs i already did 2 runs on elite (Rabid Snarbolaxes, Red Roarmulus Twins) and 3 runs on normal (Rabid Snarbolaxes, Red Roarmulus Twins and Darkfire Vanaduke) got a few number of radiants on all runs. I expected a bit more from Shadow Lairs. I will do another Rabid Snarbolaxes run on elite saturday, i might make a comparison of it with FSC.

Hmm.

If you can beat the room, it pays for itself.

They should make the gems cheap. Like a 100CE per 50/100. I'd just buy them instead of wasting my time grinding them. I could, you know, actually play the game to progress instead of doing boring box runs. Even if they made the damn things drop like they used to, heating would still suck. Not so if they're affordable.
