Being disconnected

I guess everyone is sick of being disconnected in the middle of fight and then you will probably die, waste emergency revive and then die again and you will have to waste Spark of Life. I get one disconnected almost every day without reason (does not matter when) and I have to waste spark in most of cases. Worst is when you are not alone in party and if party mates destroy boxes or kill monsters you won't even get loot!

My suggestion is to make game auto-detect if you get disconnected or lose internet connection for a while and make you invulnerable until you are back in-game.

this can be abused by disconnecting from your network and reconnecting once your teammates have cleared the area for you to loot.

^That.

Also, if you disconnect and die while you still have your emergency revive, then your emergency revive will not kick in until you are connected to Spiral Knights again.

Unfortunately, that mechanic doesn't seem to work too reliably in my experience. Too many times I've been disconnected to the log in screen while my e-rev was intact, then when I can finally get reloaded, I'm greeted with the menu saying I need to pay a spark to continue. If there was a way that the servers could better detect when players disconnect so that it could indeed preserve their e-rev that would be nice.

"If you are disconnected the moment you fall in combat, your emergency revive will not kick in until you reconnect."

^ Because everything anyone posts on the internet is true.

Player experience, including mine, has been inconsistent with the developers' intents. Even higher authorities than we mere peons can make mistakes. They may have intended to fix it, but I too have experienced premature auto-revives before fully loading, even after it was claimed to be fixed.

I believe the problem is differentiating between merely reconnecting to the server, and actually LOADING the game assets. The game reconnects to the server, and you revive, but you're still immobile while the loading screen slowly works its way to 100%.

If they changed the code to make it auto-rev players ONLY after the loading screen has disappeared, THEN I believe the problem will be fixed, at least to a greater degree than it has been.
