Is it okay for me to equip a magic hood but w/ a skelly suit and skelly sheild for tier 2??

Also w/ my cutter for a Searing edge w/ 1 uv??

1. Do leveled equips keep their buffs? [CTR, defense buffs, HP+, etc.]

2. Do shields play any role at all in lockdown, be it for defense or buffs, or are they entirely replaced by the Lockdown shields? [Would Swifstrike still give its attack speed buff, for example?]

HELP! I just bought 2 swords and both times, my crowns get spent, but I can't find(equip) my swords! (even in the levels!)

What do they have to offer in terms of rewards that is better than their normal counterparts. Since the keys cost so much (and can only be used once), I want to know what you get in a Shadow lair, besides added challenge, that justifies the cost of a key. What makes it worthwhile for your time and investment?

Hello everyone, as the title says the Jempire will be hosting a Community Giveaway in honor of Thanksgiving.
This event is mainly to help out new players by getting them Tier 2 gear.
The event is going to be Wednesday (thats today) at 8 pm pacific time.

So, after picking up the game to get the TF2 hat, I have found myself addicted to Spiral Knights. I have been playing for all of... four(?) days, and I'm finding myself somewhat lost.

At the moment, I'm using a Cutter and Autogun (love both, and refuse to give either up) and have been turning Snarby into a fine red mist over and over and over again. However, this, pretty much, is all I have been doing.

Note: It's not really investing, but you still make money off of it.

How does "Recipe Investing" work? A little note before I explain. This requires AT LEAST 2000 Crowns.
How it works:
Step 1: Go to a Clockwork Terminal.
Step 2: Buy one of the most popular recipes Basil has.
Step 3: When you return to Haven, look up how much that recipe costs, and calculate the average "buy now" price of all the recipes that match yours.

I can remember some of the name of people I would love to talk to (eg for trade), but not their full name, and since I cant remember it i have no way to find them other than write in the chat sometimes.

If theres no such thing implemented I will make a suggestions thread (if there isn't already one)

What's the best way to get crowns in Tier 1 and only Mist energy...And I also don't wanna wait 10-30 minutes to get the arena...And is there other levels other than arena?
