I just started Spiral Knights a few hours ago. A passerby took me on my first Snarbolax run, and needless to say right now I'm hooked.

I was able to get a Calibur crafted through the use of my first Mist Tank, after which my friend gave me a Wolver Coat. I then went to the Auction House and paid for a Wolver Helm, and am now in the process of saving up for a gun (or so my new friend asked me to).

Hello, looking around on the forums I have seemed to see this term a couple times... what is it?

But does anyone else prefer to animate the clockwork knights to watch their backs rather than join other people's parties? I mean, I know I'm brand new, and not even tier 2 yet, but so far my teamwork experience has been kinda ...lame. Which isn't to say I haven't met a few VERY nice people, and good players- but for the most part, if none of my friends are online, I start a party that allows friends only and just go solo.

Say you have 100 Crystal Energy, and 100 Mist Energy.

If you wanted to craft a 3 star item, would it use Energy from both the types? Or no?

Somewhat new player here, and I'm a bit confused.
I've just made it to tier 2 and then I realised I haven't even fought the tier 1 boss (Snarbolax).
Why is this? I've never encountered him before, am I doing something wrong? What gate do I go through? ;[

theres practically no 5* items at the auction and the existing ones cost a helluva lot of crowns. To craft one, you need like 800 energy which u cant get from mist. However, the energy you buy from players is CE right? so lets say 7000 CR for 100 CE, so if u had 35000 crowns, plus 25000 to buy the recipe, plus 5000 for the alchemy cost, you could get a 5* item for 65000 crowns without paying anything, amirite?

Why can't I go to T2???
