I just wanna know how to get through the blocks. I couldn't break them...

How does one upgrade slots? Is there a place I go to to buy them?

I know that a 3rd weapon slot is a REALLY good idea but is 4 even necessary?

And would a bomb as my 3rd weapon work well if there were no "bomb enhancing" equipment? My 3rd wep if it wasn't a bomb would be an Argent Peacemaker and Divine Avenger, depending on the occasion.

This game could definitely use some defense/resistance/damage clarification. I have no proof of what I've learned other than the fact that I played around with some different gear and tested a few things. I encourage others to post any other information they come across, whether it is proven fact or just their own observation. Corrections to my post are fully welcome, as I am not 100% positive of it all. Hopefully this can provide newer players with the knowledge to understand the gear statistics in Spiral Knights.

edit: and now i log in only 56 ce...i thought it got full recharge every day...wat a lame letdown...how the frick im supposed to play? cant even get t2 while ppl getting t3s-5s

I'm sure this has been asked and answered but 10 minutes of searching the forums didn't find it, so here we go.

I'd like to know how dual damage on weapons works. I don't want to use the specific names of weapons because then I'll get all kinds anecdotes instead of general info ... so let's say weapon A vs weapon B:

Assume speed and any other factor that might affect damage are equal, except for the number of "boxes" on the weapon's stat infobox.

Weapon A has 9 "boxes" of normal damage

I can understand that weapon attack is higher if the bar is larger, but for the speed bar, is it the longer the faster, or the longer the slower?

Tried the hatchet myself, and almost died. Longer bar= Faster attacks.

I haven't been able to find a guild yet, I have just been doing random runs, and up to Tier 2 that was fine. In Tier 3 I have gotten runs where people want to skip all the enemies because they hit like trucks etc or there are too many, many a group has disbanded over the graveyards, and only once did I get lucky and get seated with a good group that got to the bottom. I may be part of the problem - I only have 2 5 star pieces of equipment. Where can I go to "train" for T3? Run T2 and try to not get hit, ever?

I have been crafting most of my gear, with 2* gear at the moment. Fortunately, I lucked out with a UV Cobalt Helm & Jelly Shield (both with Low Normal). Will using them as materials for crafting 3* items erase my UVs on them, will it stay, or will it otherwise be influenced by this fact?

I remembered a couple of days ago, I used to sell some rare matz (4* and 5*) up to 15k to 20k, sometimes 25k. Now people are expecting them to buy them dirt cheap! What is this? Wal-Mart? Don't people realize that it is difficult to get forge sparks and grim spark tokens, and it is expensive to buy rare matz with those tokens? Does anyone realize that plasma cells or sun silvers is a super very rare drop? People expect to pay for those matz 500c to 1k, and very rarely 2k. I am serious!
