At character creation you can pick 2 colors for your Knight, but it seems like the 'Design' color isn't even used by 90% of the armor in the game -- now I haven't played very long so maybe I just haven't seen any, but it seems pointless to have a selections of two colors to customize your character when one of them will never really show up on any gear besides your starting suit of armor.

I have been playing SK for 3 days now and i currently got skelly set. Is it ok to get a set armor? or should I mix and match? also what kind of shield and sword would you recommend that I should use? After the skelly set? what tier3 equips should I get next?

how much does striker and also vile striker recipe if I bought from other players?

Just the other day, I was doing just fine with my winmillion (Level 10, UV: Extra damage to construct: Low) + Miricle hood + Mighty Cobalt armor. I would do a 140 damage total on a slime in tier 3! Now ever since I bought myself the ash tail gear, my damage got decreased. Now I am causing 70 damage total on the slimes. What is this all about? I thought the whole point of the Ash Tail Gear is to make your attack power high, not the other way around!

Is this a bug, or a knockoff? I can't tell. >=(

So I have Wolver gear and all that, the guard says congrats, etc.... I can't seem to get past him and when I go to the elevator it brings me back to Haven where I have to go through the whole deal again. What am I missing?

Which one should i get? Currently using a Voltech Alchemer Mk2, i like the fire rate of Antigua line so i'm now thinking which is better in your opinion? I'm gonna sport 2 guns (one of the Alchemeres and one of Antigua line) and 1 sword (Spur line) and 1 bomb (Toxic Vaporizer line).

I started playing Spiral Knights yesterday and so far I'm loving this game. The community is surprisingly friendly, which is awesome. However, as most newcommers I am kind of confused and I was hoping that you can help me out.
1. Is there endgame? What happens when you reach the core?
2. Are the dungeons equally hard with 1 and with 4 people? (aka is solo/2man possible?)
3. Am I going to be able to collect enough crowns to refill my crystal energy as I please at some stage?

I haven't been watching long, but from what I can tell, gates tend to go live before all the strati are filled with minerals. Is this the case for most/all gates so far?

If so, how much effort would it take for us to coordinate dumping crystals into one specific gate? I don't really care what stratum themes are generated, but I'm wondering if a 100% full gate will have an effect on the core.
