Are the obsidian weapons just reskins of acheron, graviton vortex and sentenza or are they they improved or worse?

I'm Seoul-Reaper (That's my In-Game Name) and I'd like to offer assistance with missions. Seeing as how not many people in-game see to want/need help, I'm hoping to get a better response on the forums. So that being said, if you're new to Spiral Knights or not as good a player as you think you should be, I can help you with whatever mission it is that you need help with. I never know how to deal with them. Usually, I die when one (or more) appear.
I have;
-Vog Cub Coat
-Skolver Cap
-Aegis
-Divine Avenger
-Strike Needle (later will upgrade to Blitz)
-(Silent Nightblade)
-(Master Blaster)

Also, I would like some advice on what should be my second shield (I will attempt to obtain/upgrade it after getting my blitz)
I also plan on running FSC when I get to the mission.

Hi. I'm MoodswingModz and i've been playing since early 2013. I just recently got back into Spiral Knights and thought it best to Join in on the Forums too.

So hi i guess.

I got the game two days ago and now I have 2*. Since my equipment's are 2* I would need Warm fire crystals to level them up. i searched the wiki on how i was able to get them without doing missions and I found out there was a recipe.

Like what the title says, Where can I get the recipe?
