As you walk through the Haven arcade, you notice a stranger you haven't seen before. He seems almost sad as he stares through his mask over into the clockworks. You approach, but it is a long time before he responds. "Sorry, little one. I did not see you there. I am rather... preoccupied, by my thoughts." You ask him what he was thinking about. "About this world, and the lives that went into it... there is a reason, it is called Cradle, you know..." He pauses. "I am the old stranger, Tal, and I will tell you a story if you return to this spot, same time tomorrow.

Long ago, an age forgotten by time, almost nonexistent in history books, stood the Vati, a race of powerful warriors, born solely to protect the peaceful from evil harm. There were millions, but they were reduced to a small handful after the Lutaki, a device engineered by the Fautn, was detonated within the Vati's sanctuary. The remnants survived through pure luck, having been away. Them being faraway, and the ancient Isorans defenceless, the Fautin leader, Aostu, was put into power through relentless bloodshed against all who dare oppose him.

Gonna write a thing, and submit it in Tevokkia's contest. I sent this to the graveyard before, because it was getting a little weird with no one except me saying anything about the story, but it's back. No one in the story will die, be mauled, or even be injured more specifically that just being defeated or knocked out, which is already in the game. It'll be all in third person, with no speech.

Since i've been waiting for the resaults of Tev's big contest 2.0 seasons of cradle, I've decided to do a black and white traditional art commissions. It took me some time to draw pictures from scratch and shade it in so it might take a while.
