I understand the pros of the current system and it is definitely good for a solo player, but it takes alot from co-op experience making every knight basically on their own in the journey and can even lead some players to prefer solo experience. I also understand that some players like the current "second chance" system over being dependent on random co-oper. As well as I understand that there probably were good reasons to change this system.

Can we have the old one somehow? I really miss the butt slam.

I know it was changed together with the attack itself to make it more useful and strong, but it became insanely strong with no drawbacks so the whole playstyle with this weapon comes down to charge after charge. I remember that original recoil was slow, but it also did send knight much further back and did make it more of a strategic move than a simple spam. This also resulted in more satisfaction from properly landing this attack.

I was thinking that, since we are likely to never see the Spritely Prize Box again, or any of the boxes that contain the Hallow and Frosty Dragon Wings, Cat Tails, etc, why not just incorporate them into the prize pool for the Hallow and Frosty Prize Boxes? It makes more sense to put them there anyways, and I think people would like to see some new potential prizes like that in these classic boxes.

I feel the exculsivity behind event materials limit gameplay in certain aspects. While I do believe exclusivity create intrigue for playing the game at certain points, I just don't see the point in locking many fun weapons and other equipment behind a "waiting wall".
Yearly events are fun, just not as fun when the event drops materials needed for good equipment. Many mobile games struggle with this where "the meta" is locked behind events.

Would there be any way to let high-ranked players access more t4 content? The danger missions are pretty easy for a lot so it'd be nice if we could have more t4 content in the game aside from shadow lairs.
I wouldn't imagine how this would ever be done though from the mission menu alone. Rarely there's tankier enemies in the arcade in t3 that seemingly have even more hp and defenses, having more t4 content would be gr8

Let me prefix this with I'm stealing this idea directly from Warframe, I love that game and how grindy it is, and I think adding this one little thing could add a lot of life to Spiral Knights and its grindy-ness. All I'm thinking, is add a system where you gain prestige by heating up weapons & armors, and you get prestige rewards for every rank you achieve. Both systems are already in the game, they now just need to be merged in an amazing way (Like this one :P).

I have been playing Spiral Knights for quite some time now, it's sad after all this years that Spiral Knights has less and less people, but there's a reason for this, the lack of content, the fact that since the new forge system has been introduce people take way more time to craft a decent gear.
I'm unsure if you still want to update the game or let it die because there are only been updates for cases and slightly more missions and that's it.

Hey starting a forum here I logged into SK happy to see that there are still people playing the game would really love to bring the game back lets bring back SK

So I don't know if the 5th Arcade gate is here to stay (I haven't seen anyone confirm or deny its fate) but if it was decided that it's going to remain, can you make it so that it was a gate without any boss whatsoever? Right now, the additional gate just has Firestorm Citadel, which I really don't think it's all that great, since people wanting to do the Vana runs usually just re-run the story mission. Having a gate that's without any bosses whatsoever would, in my opinion, be a really nice thing.

After a while of thinking prompted by a conversation with a few others, Ive got a few idea's to make a few more items viable during the endgame.

----- Low Level Utility:
-proto weapons buff defense, speed and attack for a few seconds to bomb, gun and sword respectively by about 10 or 20% (every enemy hit counts towards the buff,LV1-4=1 second per hit "low" LV5-9=2 seconds per hit "medium", LV 10= 3 seconds per hit , stacks at 10 seconds) (The buffs would probably be some modified variant to self status infliction like the faust or fang of vog.)
