WHAT IS IT?
- A box which allows players to deposit unwanted items & Crowns which can then be obtained by other players. Although, there should be a limit on how much can be deposited at once or perhaps follow a weekly capacity. (who knows what 100000's of blue shards and gel drops could do to the server o.o )

WHAT IS IT'S PURPOSE?
- The main idea is to help support new players. We have all been flooded with trade requests and we all have suffered the spam of 'free crowns please'...
- Because its main focus is for new players it only seems fair that they can withdraw more items per day/week (whatever seems balanced) and that can be determined by there rank. The higher your rank the less you should be able to withdraw as you should be more then capable of obtaining these items yourself. ASSUMING PEOPLE DONT GIVE AWAY CRAZY EXPENSIVE ITEMS FOR FREE (which would be great).

WHERE DID THIS REVOLUTIONARY IDEA COME FROM?
- Animal crossing. Yes you herd straight. For those who dont know in Animal crossing there is a recycling bin which you can obtain random items which were supposedly given away by the Characters in the game.

Now just need someone to find the whole(s) in this idea.. ;)

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

*Puts on boxing glove*

Let me punch a hole through your idea. It's called "Old players making alternate characters so that they can cash in on lot from charity." Yes, people are that greedy.

*Punches idea*

Hate to be an idea puncher, but it's the only way ideas get better. I don't know of a solution to this problem.

I hope this makes sense.

In response to Auto fire's punch, a small change to possibly fix some of the greed would be to only allow people who donate to withdraw, and put a restriction on the maximum you can withdraw base on your donations. Items could be "worth" a certain amount of trade levels (donating worthless this like shards and gel drops would barely move it, while high star equipment would be worth a lot) before being able to take it. Things would be slightly more expensive to obtain this way, but it would allow for thing that people deem worthless have value.

Hmm

Well, guild storage functions like this in a way. It depends on each individual guild's policy. It's a neat idea, to be sure, but one too easily exploited. Even guilds get robbed by bad players. I'd have to say -1 in general, but +1 for good feels.

How about instead of any old thing, limit it to, say, tokens? then players could use these tokens to get brinks mat/trinks/items - this would help newer players get a nice, say, pushback gun, which is difficult to get for most adorable nubbies due to RT's shock and nasty tileset. A pushback gun is GREAT for people who wish to solo/kill turrets (imo, it drives me nuts in a team). New players need help learning to play, more so than just being given things.

One could even have a reward system for those who donate - Charity Points could be a new system that gives some silly achievements, or a nice Armor Front Crest that looks like a shield with a smiley face on it. Or something.

take a penny leave a penny - instead of donate/take, it could be a sort of alternative, no-fee auction house+trade window. For example, someone puts up a gel core, and in return, they wish to have a soul dust, or something. Simply put the desired item into the trade interface, and press okay. Both players will receive the items they wanted in the mail. This is similar to how the pokemon GTS works, if people are aware. Of course, someone will want Shadow Dragon Wings for 1 gel core, but this might be a good system.

Heck, could even do a "wonder trade," for people who play pokemon X/Y - put a random item up for trade, and get a random item back! The game would limit trade possibilities to same star level/NPC value etc.
