While I was battling kats, I started to lag, then I got disconnected. When I reconnected, I found myself effing dead. Why? Cause monsters took advantage of lags to effing kill us. The solution? Find a way to reduce the freaking lag, or at least be invincible when we're disconnected. That way it makes things less frustrating and and more people can have fun.

And no thanks, i'd rather not have someone join, D/C at an arena, and join back and collect all the loot after I've done all the work.
And the lag is a problem, but not with just this game, ALL MMOs have at least some type of lag related problem somewhere down the line.

If you died in a level because of lag, then simply don't play the game for a while (take a break) and wait for the lag to go away.

"Lag shields" exist
If you get disconnected while on the loading screen, you cannot be hurt. I've seen knights that D/C right after joining a party and monsters pass right through them.
I you want to extend that to D/C in the middle of a battle, it can be exploited as Sandwich described.
This can be exploited too easily by manually disconnecting yourself and having someone message you when the difficult battle is over.
