I encountered an error which prevented SK from running after updating SK. The error message said:
"The application has failed to launch due to the following error:
Connection refused: connect

Please visit
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Technical_issues_FAQ for information on how to handle such problems."

This is the first time I've updated SK for the last 4 months and I really want to resume playing after the long break. Please help.

Connection refused? This is a weird issue, I'm not sure how to diagnose it. Ask support @ http://www.spiralknights.com/support/

Is this a steam error, a windows error, or a java error?

@Zaffy-Laffy: I don't know

@Zaffy-Laffy: I don't know why but I can't even access the support page "http://www.spiralknights.com/support/"
@Skepticraven: It doesn't seem to be windows or Java because I can still play other games normally but I'm not sure about steam as I haven't tried to download the standalone version yet

Seems like a firewall block. Try to turn down your firewall level on your router.

I've finally found the error.

I've finally found the error. It seems SK doesn't allow IP from my country to play. I tried using an IP changing program and it works perfectly.
Thanks a lot OOO, for blocking us :|

So you're from HK/Taiwan? I've heard it was because HK/Taiwan has their own SK and they pretty much don't like having people playing the official SK rather than their own, so they told Steam and OOO to block it.
