Greetings,
I was checking the wiki and I noticed that the Mad Bomber set has the exact same stats as the Chaos set,
not only the the defense power and health, but the negative status too.
The only difference is that while the chaos set's abilities work on any weapon,
the Mad Bomber set's abilities are restricted to bombs only.

I think OOO should give it a little boost to the Mad Bomber set, maybe add a bomb damage bonus to it.

algorithms are the solutions to any problem.

chaos vs mad bomber is an argument that existed since the chaos set was buffed. up to now, there is no incentive to craft mad bomber other than looks and curse weakness.
there are multiple suggestions on the matter, and the buffs to either set is met by "the sets are already powerful, it may not be a good idea to push them even further beyond."

The word of God said that

The word of God said that Chaos is a 'glass cannon'.
But this is an erroneous line of reasoning in the light of Mad Bomber, the original Glass Cannon, being depreciated.

Chaos and Black Kat are not Glass Cannons.
Chaos and Black Kat are in fact Hybrid sets.

While you can go through the motions and say that Black Kat is OK because "It's hard to get", Chaos clearly has the ludicrous issue of offering stronger per-weapon buffs than almost every single weapon class set.
Chaos has been lucky enough to have been buffed not once, but twice. Initially a full Chaos set only offered +2 DMG, which didn't really offer any value for it's weaknesses. Had they chosen to buff that to +4 DMG, then Chaos would have been put on the map - unfortunately they added +2 CTR instead. This changed the 'feel' of the set to be orientated around charges as well as damage.. yet still it wasn't particularly good at either. So for what ever reason, when Black Kat hit the game, they felt the need to 'get it right this time'. But removing CTR from the set would have damaged the 'feel' of it, so that had to stay. The DMG aspect however probably should have been dropped in exchange for the double CTR buff..

..but perhaps they thought people would have complained if they did.

Nickare you serious?

People would be a little salty if chaos lost the CTR (which it deserves to have dropped), but on the other hand CTR is probably the easiest to max out.

The Chaos buff needs to be

The Chaos buff needs to be Halved back again, this would let class armors get a break.

Chaos just needs to have less overall buffs

Chaos is a risk-rewards set. Risk isn't as high as the rewards.
Chaos is also a hybrid set.
What I have suggested for a long while is to split the damage and CTR from each other completely and lower it all down to "high". The chaos hood would have a high damage bonus, the cloak would have a high CTR bonus. Both still universal.
This makes BKC users unable to get damage max (and if you have a raiment you'll be using the BKC anyways) via chaos matching while also providing a fully powerful set for all users who wore the full set. This also means that class sets will always be better in one area (Skolver will deal more sword damage, mad bomber more bomb damage AND CTR) except for the new gunner gears, however those do have ASI built into them.

Here we go again with the chaos argument.

Nick stated that it's a glass

Nick stated that it's a glass cannon, a term usually applied to high damage/low defense armor. You could argue that cannon means "high fire rate cannon," but if that were the case it would make no sense for it to not have ASI. It'd be more unique if it were just medium damage per piece. Or perhaps you could make it weird and go for low damage, ASI, and CTR per piece.

orangeo, your suggestion would competely destroy a third of the new gunner armors. just sayin'.
