We have Prismatic Costumes and Accessories, and all armor has at least one Prismatic part. Usually the sleeves or eyes, but I've seen a lot of fan art showing knights wielding Swords and Shields with a Prismatic part. I think it would be a good idea to give the community their precious Customization and allow them to make their Gear. But, not to make the community change their Personal Color to red in rage, a few rules would have to be set.

1. Make the Prismatic Changer either a Usable or Ticket for a vendor, but not cost 1000 energy.

This would allow people not have to make micro transactions to get a Prismatic Tool. It could still cost energy to buy, but not above 1000.

2. Prismatic Tools upgrade when the Gear upgrades.

To translate my words, when you upgrade your Gear, be it Shield, Sword, Gun, Bomb, etc... the Prismatic Effect goes with it (Ex. A Prismatic Brandish is upgraded to a Fireburst Brandish, it will still be Prismatic).

3. Prismatic effects do NOT replace other glows.

The Prismatic effect, be it a glow, a streak of Prismatic color through the gear, or a complete color, it does not replace the normal color of the unique effects, like the ray of light that comes from the middle of the Brandish line.

4. Prismatic Tools are for all types of the weapon

Their is no "Blaster Prismatic Tool" or any other specific Prismatic Tool. Instead, their will be Sword, Gun, Bomb, Shield, Sprite (maybe), Armor, and Helm Prismatic Tools, but not all in one Tool, all separated into their own tools.

5. Their will be a Prismatic Effect for ALL Gear

All Prismatic Gear will have a sort of Prismatic effect, any thing that you think would fit, or add more Customization, and have specific Effects, like Stripes, Dots, Glow, etc... (Ex. Single-Striped Prismatic Bomb Kit).

Oh Wow +1

First off,SK doesn't have Prismatic Costumes. It only has prismatic accessories and prismatic parts on non-prismatic armor.

Second, this idea is actually just frigging awesome!Being able to make your equipment same as your chosen color is just plain epic!Always dreamed something like this! :D

Third,I don't think we need prismatic for our little pets.Just my idea.It doesn't sound right. :/

Fourth, making an awesome tool that you can buy with energy (Especially a price between 100-1000 ce) might shake the economy of SK.After all,we are living in a game where Proto weapons used to be 2-5M crowns in AH until people got their senses back.

Fifth,I actually want this epic tool to be in the game.I really liked it.I hope Three Rings staff sees your topic! :D

Well, there is the Prismatic

Well, there is the Prismatic Rose set. And Nameless Poncho is fairly prismatic.
Apparently the Node Slime Wall and Crusher have prismatic elements.

Several weapons have tassels and other small extraneous decorative features that might work well with recoloring.

Edit: This would be pretty handy on a few offenders, notice that stock Cobalt gear doesn't have any player re-colorable parts at all. You can't even see your face with the 5* helm, so tweaking that burgundy fabric used all over the armor, shield, sword and gun might be worthwhile.

Oh,I didn't knew that.Thanks! :D
The problem is that I can't get it,because the price must be sky high AND it is rare to find.

Yeah, they do,but they are pretty much reskins.Crusher is Sudaruska, and Slime Wall is Ironmight Plate Shield. But,their only prismatic part is their circle and veins.

Cool, but IDK

Nearly every set has some prismatic aspect about it, making armor fully prismatic would lead to confusion among the newer players.

@Holy-Nightmare

The Prismatic Tool wouldn't change the entire color scheme of a weapon, only an effect. Like a streak of blue across a gun's barrel for a knight with a blue color, or a red glow to your bomb for a red knight.

I like the part about "prismatizing" parts of weapons and stuff but I am not so sure about the armors, as Holy-Nightmare already said it most armors already have some prismatic aspect except for a few of them. However playing around different patterns of prismatic on armors wouldn't hurt so... idk

There should be a limit for the amount of prismatic you have. We don't need completely bright red Valkyrie set knights running about, stuff like this would give the wrong impression of the set.

Prismatic weapons would make reading your team harder (is that a VT or an AOA?, A Combuster or a Voltedge? A Valiance, or Riftlocker?). If could also make reading your own weapons a bit harder. Could you imagine picking a Shiv for Vana just to find out that what you thought was a Shiv is a prismatically blue AOA?

Well...

I don't think we would have a problem at that.

I mean,it will say what it is,right?Like "Prismatic Riftlocker","Prismatic Divine Veil" and such.

Armors is probably a no

With armors, certain sets are reskinned with colors. A "prismatic cuirlass" might look similar to a "regal cuirlass" with the correct personal color. People not paying attention might think your prismatic fallen armor is actually radiant silvermail. It can get confusing.

On weapons it could get odd, but if the weapon has only certain areas to be turned prismatic it should work(I.E., no changing colors of your brandish status/glow. You can change the hilt, however).

Actually

If you know how to read equipment names,it wouldn't be confusing.

Although I do like the idea I have another suggestion which is slightly more complicated but I'm sure people will enjoy it.

On a game called 'Wipeout' (it's an old racing game) you can't design your own cars but you can change their skins through a designer on the game's website then download the skins to your console. The website is no longer up, sadly, so I can't give examples.
However the point being is OOO could introduce a section on the website for skin design, then players buy skins via the website for CE.

Chaos got a point!

Actually, any game that allows you to change skins (Like TF2) should have a website/program that allows us to design our own skins, for ourselves or/and for those who want's a diffirent look!

We actually need both the skin creator and the Prismatic equipments! You sweeties are awesome! <3

I can't really find a website/application that helps out at creating new skins.

So,I know that SpiralSpy is a program that allows you to check out the Spiral Knights' original skins, but after Dusk-Satoshi told about it here,I decided to look further.

I found out that you can color specific items in the game, but this STILL doesn't change the skins,so,back to square 1.

Warning: Superiority Complex.

It wouldn't be too hard to release their own 3-D weapon designing software but make it so players can only edit using current weapons as templates.
