The core is open. That little elevator at the end of depth 29 is working.
It's been 4 years but the core is now finally open.
We now have access to a depth 30 and what lies beyond it; radiants are plentiful again.
Suddenly it makes sense having a plethora of gunner gear for every situation.
Finally vanguards have a place where they can reach true endgame Valhalla. ~

At least that's what I'd like to say, if the Core was open. (which it isn't)
But let's all play pretend for a moment. Work with me for a moment and just pretend that it is.

THE CORE IS OPEN!!!

Veteran players play through the Core in one week. Then they get bored and demand new content. "If Three Rings doesn't open the Inner Core immediately, then it's proof that they're fundamentally evil."

If it was open...

Create a time-table.
Measure rewards able to be made every hour (averaged).
Farm at set intervals to maintain maximum efficiency.
Sell off all amassed energy before the Spiral Economy takes a small dip due to the increase in radients.
Create all gear in the game.
Amass more crowns and become a rich person like 80% of the other Vanguards who sit around haven.
Leave the game, satisfied as a collector with cr and/or Energy pouring out of my ears.
Wait for more content while participating in the Forums.

OR...

Call it all a conspiracy.
Take notice at the increasing price of materials, as people no longer farm Vana, but rather turn their attention to the core.
???

A Wolver's Purpose

I wouldn't really care. I hope it doesn't happen. Else, SK would technically be over.

BUT, little did we know, all those minuscule updates, all those money grabbing promos: it was all a cover up. The core opens, and all Vanguards are allowed passage back to Isora, where there is an even larger world to explore, Morai to fight off, an entire new PvP system, more Tiers and gear! They have been making Spiral Knights II Return to Isora, all this time, and we didn't even know it.

Please, hexlash, don't be one of those blinded people.

A story only ends when there is a final resolution to the conflict that is presented, opening the core doesn't mean that knights will instantly be able to leave cradle and go back to Isora to fulfill their quest to SAAAAAAAAAAAAVE THE WOOOORLD!!! [Epicness intensifies]
The story can continue here on cradle with other kinds of conflitcts that may impede us from returning to Isora. There is no need for a SK II, Unless that they actually intend to finish the game in the core and then release a sequel...

If you think carefully, you'll see that the core is only a mystery box, we don't even know exactly what is inside or if it will help us or not to save Isora. The only way to end this game is actually fixing the Skylark, getting a huge source of power and then going back to Isora... and then this game will end because the story no longer happens in cradle, but like I said, opening the core doesn't necessarily mean that everything will end.

Sequel to SK, eh, Hex?

One of my IRL friends thought up a sequel to SK (Spiral Knights II) that involved returning to Isora and killing the Morai. It also included 6*-10* gear. I think a lot of people have that idea, but I doubt it will happen, unfortunately.
