Is there a way to do this? Currently, I can only play SK on one steam account. I'd like to be able to play on the knights I've put hundreds of hours into on a second steam account of mine. However, since my account was created on steam, without being given an account name, there's no way for me to log in to my account from anything but the first steam account. Is there a way to create or associate an account name with my account, so I can play SK on other steam accounts?

I am speculative that there is a method... I've heard of accounts being unlinked through certain trickery.

Too lazy to find the Mod post, but the only way to unlink a steam account is by asking a mod to do it for you. Best way to get a definite answer is to send a support request (through the "support" link at the top right of this page).

FAQ might or might not help
The Steam FAQ says that unbinding a knight from Steam cannot be undone, although we hear stories of GMs doing it specially. Your situation is a little different, because you created your knight in Steam. Anyway, maybe something in this FAQ will inform you. Good luck.
Long answer: There is no way to do this. From the moment when you link a spiral knights account to your steam account, it's linked together. It can't be removed and you aren't able interchange accounts.
Short answer: No.
