How can i get some good allies and friends?

I'm a newbie to the game and I want to have some good allies. I don't want to befriend some guy who turns out to be a total jerk, but its hard to judge what someone is like in a game. If I end up joining a guild I want it to be one with friendly players who are willing to help the noobs.

Any suggestions? -Mazorokan the newbie

Hmmm...

So i've been looking at the guild forums, and I think my best bet would be Shadows Might. can you give me any feedback on this choice?

thanks -Mazorokan

hard to say

I don't think I've ever heard of that guild. Frankly there are far too many guilds in the game. Most guilds claim to be casual and friendly. In reality they vary a lot, and you'll find jerks in every guild.

You might also go to our wiki, find Category:Guilds, and read some of those pages. But that will probably be very slow.

My advice is to join a guild, just to try it out. Stay for at least a week. After that, don't be afraid to leave for another guild. Also ask the guild masters questions if you want.

I have a lot to say about guilds, but most of it is hard to explain, so I'll stop there. Good luck.

Interesting

Thanks for the advice.

Don't forget that I see a bunch of guilds demand rent from their fellow knights. Personally I don't care. You'll hear them talk about Swords and crap all day, and they're there if you want to brag to them.
