Full proto set or a Phantamos (only 1 weapon) and full Dragon Scale armor (no shield)?

If the second one is better, what about 4* version?

3*?

Good question.... I would

Good question....

I would have to say the proto set is worse, because the phantamos would do more dps to everything preceding vana, and at the last stage you could use water and pickups which would be better than proto weaps against vana. Same for 4* and 3* versions.

Prominis-Alt

Incorrect. Proto Bomb one-shots vana.

Therefore, by process of elimination, Phantamos and Dragon Scale are worse.

Proto is actually better- Vanaduke is immune to shadow toward the end of his fight.

^Exactly why I said you can

^Exactly why I said you can use pickups and water to damage him in the last stage.

For the preceding levels, Phantamos would make depths 24-27 at least 10 times faster (i think proto is 10 dmg and phant is 80 vs skellies).

If we are talking about speed, phantamos is better.

Probably phantamos... Proto might be better. You'd probably die either way, though...

Actually you will get significant higher health bonus with dragon scale set since it is 5 star. Additional this amor protects vs fire and elemental (someone said that vana deals ele dmg) and by only this, it outnumbers the proto set.

To the weapons.... here again a 0* weapon vs a 5* weapon. And actually Vana got (if I recall correctly) two phases in which whado damage deals normal damage to him.

TL;DR (whatever tldr means):
even with that missing shield, the dragon scale+phantamos is faaaar better.

Applies to gargantuan rant posts, probably 500+ words.
