inb4 I get impaled by the Spiral Knights community for suggesting a prize box.

Anyways, since it seems that OOO likes to update the game with prize boxes, why not update it with a prize box a wider audience would buy? Since reskins don't look like the community is welcoming them too much.

Rarity Boxes
So, I don't think a lot of people are too interested in prize boxes anymore, most people just complain about reskins and things. Why not make a box that has items that could effect gameplay? Example, Tier 3 players who are complaining about Rad drop rates/too hard to farm/etc could just buy a box and get Rads in large quantities, allowing for OOO to make more money to support the game and T3 players to stop complaining about rads finally.

Different boxes for different tiers

Tier 1 players would get flawed/simple orbs, and dim/warm fire crystals.

Tier 2 would get advanced orbs/elites, glowings/shinings

Tier 3 players would get Eternals and Rads.

In addition, Tier 2 players could still buy Tier 1 boxes, and Tier 3 could still buy Tier 2 boxes, etc.

This would allow for a larger amount of people to drop money on the game, Tier 1/2 players could drop 5 dollars and get an extra boost towards their next equipment.

Also, I know this sounds a lot like Forge Prize Boxes but... I don't care 8)

Costumes in this Box

Example, something like "Forge Armor". It could just be a costume or even a reskin, but it would differ it from forge prize boxes. Also maybe a new weapon, just reskin a Combuster and call it the "Radiant Fire Blade," with a T1/T2 version, Cracked Fire Blade and Glowing Fire Blade respectively.

Even if you don't want to make the new items you could just add an option to buy a Forge Prize Box for like 2 dollars and people would buy it.
