Client - "Downloading Data" issue

Yesterday, a few hours after the Guild Update I logged out of my SK account then tried to log into my SK Steam account and it didn't progress to the knight selection screen. So I verified the integrity of the game cache in the game's properties on the steam client and I was presented with 237 missing files, how confused I was. So after Steam downloaded the missing files ~220mb, I ran the SK client and up came the "Downloading Data/Validating Files" window. Then I noticed the length of the download of the data has exceeded 200+ minutes, which is quite extreme for me since it usually takes about 20 minutes let alone 3+ hours. Is there anyway I can shorten the time to what it used to be or is there another way around this problemo?
