I have also experienced this issue earlier today. I went to upgrade my 3 star gunner hat to the 4 star Sunset stetson. After watching for a bit I noticed the screen where the icon usually appears was blank with a small white box that read "Item moved to arsenal".
I checked my arsenal neither the original item that was being upgraded nor the new item has appeared, I have also lost my materials in this process as well. It originally occurred about 13 hours ago.
Not sure if it's related or not but I attempted to relog immediately after this and I was stuck in the "logging in" phase for nearly 10 minutes before I gave up.
