The DLC stuff is just an aesthetic issue - not a functional one. So it'll be on very low priority.
As for the overlay issues, it seems to be tied to graphics cards. I don't see why linux is being mentioned. I've had SK running on linux flawlessly for years. Plenty of other threads about the overlay/linux issues though.
