As we all know pulsar-line weapons are pretty OP and annoying in PvP (especially Polarais). they need to be fixed.
So my suggestion here is slow down the fire rate so it wont be as annoying.
Decreasing damage won't do much of a difference as they will likely stay so I think it's better to just fire at a slower rate, I suggest half the rate they currently can fire with as now.
Maybe if this happens their damage should be buffed a bit so they will be viable in PvE.

In PvE, they're the worst DPS guns. I'd suggest surfing the suggestion subforum for other "balancing" suggestions.

I mean, pulsars were already nerfed in the gunner update... Likely with PvP in mind. The bullets were changed to be faster (as to prevent walls of pulsar bullets being easy to make) and the individual damage of each bullet was lowered. The weapons still are good at what they do, but cannot be used to create walls of bullets as easily now, which is a godsend for PvP.

Pulsars are OP in PvP and garbage in PvE.

Idea-
1. Takes longer to reload and slower firing speed
2. Charge starts small and gets progressively bigger as it travels up to 3 times (so starts out as a normal shot, grows once, grows a second time, grows a third time), and does a phenomenal amount of damage at a very long range.

What this looks like in PvE-
Step 1: Shield bump
Step 2: Fire a couple normal shots
Step 3: Charge and fire!

Oh yeah they can't create walls of bullets but can make ranged mines ya know
