The new missions are a must
The new missions are a must to play for a returning player, without spoiling things too much they bring the story arc to somewhat of a conclusion and felt really nice. I mean it's no final fantasy level story writing but they did a good job with it.
EoS is one of the only old guilds still active. NJ and Dogrock are no longer around but myself Miso, Janica and Fangel are keeping it alive.

Don't forget the latest update! The style kit!
Check the "Announcement" forum section if you don't know what I'm talking about ;)
Also tons of reskins and A LOT of new costumes and accessories (most are just recolors though)
huge changes since the dlc tbh
elevators dont cost energy
battle sprites (basically pets)
tons of new items (gunner armors)
some new events
new company took over the game (Grey Havens now develops it instead of OOO/Sega)
new endgame missions after FSC
crafting system overhauled (uses rare items instead of energy)
heat system overhauled (need fire crystals to heat items)
definitely a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting
the community is smaller now, but development is ongoing if a little slow. It's still just as fun as your remember.
