Returning after a long layoff, this is my first time playing the new vault content. I'm wondering how rare these Misplaced Promissory Note trinkets are, so I thought I would gather some data to get a rough idea.
Assuming I try farming these trinkets on multiple occasions (not guaranteed), I'll edit this post to consolidate the data.

@Wrench-Wizard: True, it's an okay change from farming FSC.
Probably won't do very many on this gate because of the extra depth. Takes twice as long to reach the ??? level, unless I get lucky with the Deconstruction Zone. Also, fiends.

Pretty bad luck with this gate. Only got 5 vaults after 29 runs.

Haha, thanks. Hopefully there will be another vault at D20 some time soon. It's so much easier to get vaults with only 1 depth to go through.

The current Ruby Lion gate is very good; the best vault gate that I've seen since my return. You have two options: stop after the D20 vault, or continue to Basil and try to hit the extra vault at D24. I'm stopping after the D20 vault. I managed to find one promissory note on my 56th vault from this gate.

Decent vault on the Emerald Queen gate. I'm not sure how many runs I will do with Easter approaching.

The Dark Phantom gate has slimes in stratum 5. The vault is at depth 22, so not very fast, but it's easy recipe+vault running.

The new Jade Clover gate is great for vault running. The Arena and Lichenous Lair have single paths to the elevator, so you can't take a wrong turn, which is perfect.

Another good vault gate appeared at the same time as the Jade Clover, the Silver Titan Gate. Farmed that one for a little bit.

The Diamond Sun Gate is good for vault running. The preceding Concrete Jungle levels have a deterministic layout, but moving the totems around every time is kind of annoying.
