This is going to get botted to hell and a half, there's a chance that heating 1* items might get botted to hell as well if 0* items are excluded.

I understand why those were added, but it's better if we avoid a situation that will cause the entire UV market to crash and burn.

Nice forum alt.
Sounds like GH ruffled a merchant's feathers.

Every time

I love how every time someone shares their concerns about changes to various system in various games, there's always that handful that will jump to various conclusions, call someone names and just hurl insults as they see fit.

It's hilarious that the same people might not see the bigger picture or potential problems with changes implemented as a part of updates.

@mohtrek

5 min search through threads would have led you to a conclusion that this isn't an alt.

@ultraflo

I like my coins, especially the ones with very good UVs minted on them.

How can this get botted? Do

How can this get botted? Do people have AI based tools that can play SK levels on their own as a heating process?

The lowest forge prixe box is glowing (unless something else changed), having a forge box listed for 0* heating might just be a programming carryover error and not actually be possible, but we'll see.

Also, the total elimination of SK merchants and item hoarders would be very good for SK's health. Like decontaminating a river.

GH keep up the cool changes, great to see SK getting a second life.

Bad actors

There are always people that have nothing better to do than break terms of service, even for games like SK. Dunno if there's actually anyone that does have tools set up for botting, granted that the risk for them would be rather high given how small the community is.

The system got updated and now 0*, 1* and 2* gear can roll for boxes, there's a picture shared of the Dim prize box in The Arcade discord server. Someone claims to have gotten a 0* one (though no pic of that one as we speak which leads me to believe that it could just be some kind of a bait).

I do agree that merchers can go, but I'd rather it not be done in a single 'minecraft creative' way with extra steps. I'd rather see the functional and cosmetic content spread throughout the game rather than just dumped into a single system.

UV Market Deserves to Crash

Bad actors will always find a way to "maximize profits" - hopefully botting is never a problem for anything. People already throw their alts around.

Most people don't care about the UV market crashing. I don't. If its easier for ANY PLAYER (not just endgame ones) to grind out any star gear to get UV tickets (which the boxes aren't even that common) then so be it. It's not really that big of a deal.

IF the UV world truelly were ending hypothetical

After reading this thread I've had an idea that I'm curious what your collective minds would think of this:

"If UV's were truelly ubiquitous and every knight was able to make their super custom equipment, do you think it would bring more armor variety to the game? If you no longer needed to wear black cat set to be optinmal, do you think we'd see a surge of knights using the less offensive and more defesnively versatile equipment? Or with damage UVs covering fiend, we'd see a rise in the armor that covers other UV categories?"

For the sake of the hypothetical let us ignore the outying issue of movement speed increase only be offered on two armor sets. I raise this question because I'm not sure if it would lead to build diversity or if we would just start seeing legions of Volcanic Demo Suits.

I don't think the UV market is crashing

After going at this for a few hours I think the concerns raised here are overstated. The drop rate is right where it needs to be imo and I think I could roll UVs faster by just doing vana runs and spending the crowns. Plus to do this efficiently you need to do runs with missing weapons and 0* gear.

I think most have already gone back to farming vana directly. This was a fun detour though, thank you GH.

I'll also note that there may

I'll also note that there may be a cap. Haven't received a cracked forge box for a bit.

@Calyos Fair enough, and

@Calyos Fair enough. Just saw the new prize boxes in AH too, pretty neat.

There's probably someone out there dragging 3 alts through Vanaduke to farm crowns at the maximum rate, might as well make them farm forge boxes too.

Hmmm.

I personally also can see it being a problem down the road, but simultaneously it could also be beneficial for newer players to be able to roll more affordably. I honestly think the best mitigating for this problem while still keeping them around is to just making 0*, 1*, and 2* boxes just be bound. Their contents are great for players regardless of their stage in the game, but yes the system can absolutely be abused as a crown generator using alts because Calyos is right, where there is a way to profit/bot and it's lucrative, it WILL be done by somebody (or more).

Alternatively if it said the obtainable contents when hovering over the box (to be transparent about the contents), and cap the variant ticket possibility to 1uv, it will put hard cap on the price of them in which 1uv tickets being flooded on the market or farmed is a complete non-issue. It's only a problem if they have the possibility of 2uv tickets which we know are much higher, which causes a reflection on the cost of the box.

Basically the goal is:
Find a solution to keep alt farming 0 or 1* forge boxes from being too lucrative and exploitable without removing them entirely or making massive changes. The difference between this and dragging alts through FSC is that this is much, much easier to do, and it STACKS along with alt-farming FSC.
