I would desperately crave after an option to hold [Attack] to do my main attack combo and have a separate keybind entirely for charge attack. Especially since getting my hands on the Antigua, but even my first ~2 hours back into the game, repeatedly clicking was has been really stressful on my hands.
Please for my physical health, let me hold to repeatedly attack
Back when I was last playing actively I'd already gotten old enough and my hands worn out enough that I was having problems and couldn't really use weapons like the Antigua effectively because of the sheer level of spam clicking required. That was so many years ago now that I can't even remember how long ago it was.
This is my number one fear for the friction I will be encountering when I try to get back into the game.
Given how important the charge attacks are and how used to it people are, I would even suggest the opposite. Leave the default behavior completely unchanged, and add a new keybind that when held down 'disables' the charge attacks and just lets the weapon fire automatically with the button held down. Then we could train ourselves to use it only for weapons where we individually need the benefit.
Antigua shouldn't even have a charge attack, this should just be the default behaviour when holding attack.
Anyway, macros are easy to set up with whatever software you please, autohotkey is a popular one. Make it switch-shoot if you're feeling fancy, get rid of that particular input bloat while you're at it.
Hello, there are many mice in the market that have something like a "repeater button" which clicks the same mouse button multiple times when holding it down. Usually people use this for FPS shooting games. However, I'd message Spiral Knights support if this is allowed as it might flag your account. Hope this helps!
