Hello everyone!

This suggestion is short but I think will help give the Tortofists some more utility. Instead of Tortofists spawning crystals in a random cluster on charge attack, have the crystals always spawn arranged in a circle. This will create a cage that traps enemies inside the cage until the crystals expire. The cage could be roughly the same radius of the 5* Vortex bombs.

Benefits: improved crowd control
Drawbacks: similar to the utility of Vortex bombs, though not exactly the same since enemies outside the cage cannot enter the cage as they could enter the Vortex bomb radius.

I vendored all my tortoguns years ago because they are so useless.
There was a time when they were useful, but that was with the so called "flash charge", which made the charge fire twice. It got patched. Using tortoguns make you look like a fool now.

I would make new ones, if they became good again. This would be a way.

Makes no sense

They've thrown out reskins for all sorts of weapons, but have extremely rarely done any numerical tuning even for weapons that are categorically awful. I don't understand why they wouldn't bundle buffs to underplayed weapons with the new costumes thrown into these events, especially if they're planning gameplay changes or additions later on. Why wouldn't they test the waters with easy, slam-dunk wins like this?

Tortoguns are sad

Reliably penning in enemies with a fixed pattern would definitely be nice, especially since the crystals deliberately avoid landing on enemies, are avoided by pathfinding, and have a capped amount of damage they can inflict (which isn't even much damage at all, so I really don't understand why it's there). As it is, they struggle to do basically anything at all. I mean, the answer is probably to point at the infamous "Cheat if necessary." screenshot, and conclude that OOO didn't tune their game for things like "balance" or "fun".

As for being a bit vortex-like, I don't think that's an issue, considering the differences in placing torto charges and the tortoguns having normal attacks (which also are bad. this poor weapon.).
