Not sure if it's a bug or not, but I find it strange that the Virulent Catalyzer (4*) has a different sound effect for its bullets than either the 3* or 5* gun on this upgrade path. It sounds like a Blaster shot, as opposed to the sound effect the gun otherwise has.
