im wondering if faust is good to use with the Vog series. becuase i keep hearing rumors on the faust only cursing me if i use the charge attack.
if anything is the weapon even good to use anymore becuase of how long the curse is.. u seem pretty useless for the 40seconds it puts u out.
like.. 1 slash, 2 slash, oops i got cursed. shield for a minute. 1, 2, curse..
it just doesnt seem worth it. like i should have gone the DA path instead.
any hints?
FYI, my arsenal-
Weapons: Leviathan as equip 1. and i use weither the faust or the grav bomb for equip 2.
armor: Ash tail set (going for vog)
Shield: Useing owl shield. but i have swiftstrike buckler for the high attack speed, and the attack dmg shield.
ANY HELP IS WELCOME! for im only 48 hours spent on the game and not to knowing of much.
-EDIT- it would also help if someone could explain to me on how the curse to self for the faust is scaled, and how it works. and how frequent it happens.
-EDIT- does the gran faust apply the curse faster? or less often to self

that helps a bit. also what do u mean half your weapons? what weapon doesnt get affected by curse? cause when i switched to my leviathan it would still hurt me.

Random weapons are not
Random weapons are not cursed, not fixed slots. Anyhow, if you intend to spam the charge attack just keep all the time remedy pills with you, in tier2 Faust's charge attack curse will cause you 3,5 pip when using the remedy pill iirc.

If you have 3 weapon slots
If you have 3 weapon slots only 2 of them get cursed, if you have 4, then only 2 get cursed still. If you have only 2, sounds like you're screwed ^^. And yes, it's random as to what's cursed.

so
so lets say i have faust in equip 1. and leviathan in equip 3.. and nothing in equip 2.. does that mean my leviathan is operational?

It counts only 2 weapons, so only chooses between those two, so you do lose the ability to use both still.

Charged attack has a chance
Charged attack has a chance to Curse you.
But the 2-hit combo does not inflict curse on you. The 2nd hit however, can inflict Curse on the enemy.

Also note that the Gran Faust takes _forever_ to charge.
Only curses on charge, doesn't happen all that often in my experience. An no, GF doesn't curse "faster", same as Faust in my experience, the only difference is it's stronger (hurts you more and lasts longer I believe).
Personally, Curse isn't all that bad, you just can't use 2 of your weapons and 3 of your vials, but the charge is quite powerful, so it's worth it.
I'd say don't worry, go for vog if you like, I sure am.
