Yeah, I found out about the Antigua line not thirty seconds ago. Looks nice! But the damage types worry me.
Gunslinger Sash
It's doing sub par all around. Alchmer can out damage it on most situations now.
More specifically, it looks like a Shadowtech Alchemer can outdamage it on most situations now. What's the skinny on double guns? Say, a Shadowtech Alchemer and an Antigua?
What's more, I'm concerned with the Alchemer's two-shot capacity. Despite the fact that hits can bounce, given the frequency with which mobs dodge everything you throw at them, (BEAST LEVELS. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE.) what's the point in bouncing shots if they never freaking hit?
The gun was designed to be used for crowd control, so if you wanna hit a single mob it's gonna be a bit less..... useful.
That been said, it's THE gun to have right now for one simple reason. It's the only range weapon that haven't been nerfed into a joke.
Antigua it's self does pretty much no dmg and anything that does piercing and is a gun is just plain waste of time, the only thing that does decent dmg with piercing is shard bombs.
Maybe I'm asking the wrong question. Can each shot from an Alchemer bounce more than once? And will the mobs attempt to dodge the bounced shots?
The split shots can split once more when it hits something, but it's only limited to the two original splits. Anything after that would not split.
Also the mobs would just do the matrix dodge on anything.
Frikkin' Matrix dodge. Thanks for obliging all my questions, dude.
Can someone answer the original question though? what does attack speed increase actually do? time between shots? does it increase reload times as well? never made it past medium speed so i couldn't really make a noticeable comparison.
As far as I could tell Attack Speed Increases for guns increase your firing rate for one and decreases the reload time. All of which are barely noticable.
Of course I used an alchimer.
I'm not so sure if using this with an autogun or magnus will reduce the time you stand there and shoot.
Mobs don't dodge Alchemer bullets however, last time I checked. They don't dodge. The slowest bullets.
It's not worth it.... well, in fact that all long range atm isn't that great. Charge bonus and a alchmer is pretty much the only good choice atm, antigua line is pretty sub-par now but might still worth a look.
