WHY!?!?!? WHY DOES NONE OF YOU UNDERSTAND THAT CE IS BEING SOLD FOR CR ALREADY?!?! WHY!?!?!? THE PRICE IS LIKE 5K+ AND RISING!! THERE IS ALREADY A STRANGER WITH A MASK WITH AN ENERGY SYMBOL ON IT SELLING ENERGY, BUT WHY IS HE THERE WHEN YOU CAN JUST PRESS THE COUNTER AT THE BOTTOM THAT SHOWS YOUR ENERGY TO BUY CE WITH CR OR REAL MONEY!!!!!????

The problem is, that the existence of this NPC as well as the fact that you can buy CE via the energy interface isn't explained anywhere. Dumb as it may sound, but these facts need to be shoved down every newbies throats as soon as they enter haven. Maybe in form of a little song-and-dance number, so it sticks better.
We need better tutorials, or a more dedicated base of senior players willing to give the new guys a thorough rundown of the game mechanics. Since I'm lazy can can't be bothered to do the "Spiral Knights and you: A guide for the rest of us" 5 out of 7 days, I'm for the "improved tutorial" solution.
Crystal Energy is purchase by cash-only, my friend.
Ergo, if Three Rings creates an in-game NPC that sells Crystal Energy for crowns, they wouldn't make any money because that is currently their only way of earning money, thus, they can't keep the game alive and Spiral Knights shut down for good.
Supporting this suggestion is like asking for the game to end, I am afraid.
