I'm trying to set up a shop under my userpage, but for some reason users who are not logged in and authorized to edit the wiki cannot see the current version of my page.

The page in question is: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/User:WindOwl/Shop

I can't figure out how to make it update for unregistered users except to change it a bunch of times and sometimes it catches up.

Currently the wiki has issues

Currently the wiki has issues with updating images and pages, which is the problem you are describing. Changing it a bunch of times does NOT help the wiki update the page, it only makes things worse in many cases.
Also, frequent updates to your page will clog up the "Recent Changes" page with stuff that's not actually about the game.

The wiki is really not the place to run your shop----I understand that it gives you a lot of formatting options, but you ought to make a thread in the Bazaar instead.

I like the formatting

I like the formatting options, users are entitled to user pages, and you are free to filter the recent changes page. So unless an admin shuts me down, I'll run it how I like.

But thanks, I guess I'll just let it update at snail speed, then.

Did you not read my post?
Spamming the wiki with redundant updates does not help. God help you if you try to update an image.

Ivory Tower

I have to update it in order to, you know, update it.

Not sure where I announced my updates would be redundant or spammy.

If A. The wiki has issues

If A. The wiki has issues with syncing updates to pages, and B. you continually make changes, then 3. your only complicating the delay for updating the page.

And Y-*_#. the wiki isn't made to be your personal profile page. Granted the game could benefit from a simper WT Buy/Sell for posting trades, but the Bazaar board exists for that very reason.

Ok, so...

...your solution is to never change the wiki. How functional.

EDIT: By the way, since all I seem to be getting is flack for how I choose to customize my userpage rather than solutions to a (frankly inexcusable) server problem, I just thought I'd link the userpage guidelines to show that I am not conflicting with them (it's rather open-ended).

Yeah, thanks for the

Yeah, thanks for the link.
All we're trying to say is that using the wiki for your shop is extremely suboptimal for your purpose, and may back up sync jobs for pages related to gameplay.

Here's the thread on current Wiki issues: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/8907
Maybe you should move this thread into the Wiki Editors section of the forums, so people who actually use the wiki (and the GM responsible for managing it) can give you better advice on the unregistered users problem.
