Barrel Roll

I think everyone should be able to do a barrel roll but no consecutively like every 5 seconds. This could be usefull when your on spikes and there purple and your almost at the end then you do a barrel roll for your life. Or you can just use it to dogde. Either way I think it is useful.

Dodge rolls

Oh, you mean like a dodge roll-type move? I can see that happening, although I'm not sure. Maybe you could double-click whatever button you use to move.

I can see this becoming a huge tactic in battles. Maybe Vanaduke could be a bit less horrible if you could actually DODGE some of his crazy attacks :P

As for the actual mechanics of it, I think I'd vouch for a double tap of the movement key while guarding. I know for a fact that it can become far too easy to randomly roll into a hazard when it's just a double tap movement straight-off... I've played several games with that sort of problem.

A dodge or side-step would be nice. Especially for those wolfen leaders; that triple-bite chews right through shields and has a good amount of travel to it. I fear them more than phantoms. Horrible wolves...

Anyways, I'd like it if you could do a dodge at the cost of degrading your shield's health. Double-tap the guard button while moving and you'd roll, losing something like 30-50% of your shield's health in the process (and possibly breaking it). A huge health cost to the shield would force a player to seriously consider if it's better to dodge away, or suck the hit with the shield itself. Big hits, especially of damage that your shield does not defend against, are good to dodge. Normal shielding otherwise.
