Since danger rooms have been modified to be super hard, it usually means sudden death to join a party that's in a danger room.
So, pls make parties in danger rooms kinda auto-locked, only they can't really be unlocked until the danger room is finished. It's useless to have ppl join in a danger room, they'd otherwise never entered and have them die immediately. It's just frustrating for them.
Invites and joins of friends and guild should still work, of course.
Disable join into danger rooms
Starlinvf, I am not talking about me. I like to pop up in a danger room and save the whole crew. You're the major troll in here.
OK, I know Desouler has caught a lot of flak from his other recent thread, but let's stick to the idea of each thread if we can.
Personally, I think this is a good idea. Parties usually discuss whether they want to do a danger room, and if anyone doesn't want to, they have quasi-veto power by not stepping on the button or they an go solo. A player that is just joining isn't going to have a vitapod, health pills or vials and isn't going to have any say in the matter.
Disable random players joining during a danger room seems like a very reasonable idea to me, for much the same reason as when you are trying to join a T1 party, you don't get sent to a T2 party.
Once again..... you assume risks by joining pugs from a gate terminal, with the trade off being not having to wait for a party and possibly skipping a few depths in the process. If you want to cherry pick where you land up, thats when you make a new party or join a friend (but check what situation hes in first).
Once again... It's useless to have ppl join in a danger room, they'd otherwise never entered and have them die immediately. It's just frustrating for them.
Thats why they call it "risk management", not "make everything easy when I don't want to think"..... This isn't an iMac or Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Starlinvf, your stupid "risk management" troll idea is only in your mind. Obviously it's not existant for people that pop up when I am doing a danger room. They load, they run around for a second, they die, they leave. Also, sometimes I can revive them before they leave, but one second later they die again and they leave. You're always assuming, everyone has to be like you expect them to be, but that's not the case.
If I expected everyone to be like me, this forum would be full of lolcat puns, pony macros and pictures of hot, barely legal video cards.
The point being is if a pot of boiling water burns your hand when you put food into it, you don't seal off the pot until its cool... Stuff doesn't cook good when its cold. You either put the food in first (ie start a new party), use a pair of tongs (join a friend), or go Gary Busey (grab your c**k, say something crazy, then jump in).
Since you don't control exactly where joining a party will drop you, you should either be prepared for anything, or just accept the fact you may land up someplace bad. If you can't afford to be in Danger rooms and arenas, start your own party. If you don't want people dropping in on your party while your in one, then lock it yourself. This isn't rocket science.
*mutters something about slot machine mulligans and trusting the Nigerian Prince*
Starlinvf, you can stick your stupid metaphors and your advice for players, that can't read your post, where the sun don't shines.
This is a suggestion, not a request for your personal opinion on boiling water, rocket science or anything else.
To quote one of your other posts 'Also, http://xkcd.com/386/"
I'm not really seeing the benefit of this change. Surely the entire risk of joining a PUG game is the fact you may not end up in an ideal situation, whether that be in a danger room or joining as the party reaches an elevator or missing an arena or whatever. You can't impose arbritary limits on where people can and can't join, if you could I'd think preventing people essentially wasting 10 energy by ending up joining just as a group finishes a depth is a bigger priority than winding up in a danger room.
"This isn't an iMac or Donkey Kong Country Returns."
Have you actually played DKCR? it's harder than Spiral Knights in every concievable way lol
@Echoez: Unless you let it play for you. I've heard many things about that game.... and I think they added auto-play to prevent a sudden spike in TV related homicides. :P
Oh you meant the super guide, yeah true but if you're using that you're not really playing it at all. That's more like asking for people to allow invites to vana after he's already dead and still get 3 tokens lol
Besides if you use super guide there's bunch of unlockables you can't get if you use it at all, so the poor souls who died enough and gave in to it still had it rubbed in their faces lol
OOOOHHHH... So its left, jump, down, left, left, jump, right, drop, left, double jump, swing, jump, right. Not left, jump, down, right, jump, left, jump, double jump, swing, left, jump, right.
I'm sorry Desouler, but it seems that after that 'other' thread you made, no-one is going to take you seriously anymore.
If you don't like surprises, don't join pugs. That being said, stop trolling or I'll be forced to pretend to do something about it.
