Ok, maybe not quite an orbital friendship cannon, given that the clockworks is all buried miles underground, but I think it would be a neat visual style of bomb to have: have the bomb itself look sort of high tech and circuity with various antennas, flashing lights and electrical gubbins sticking out of it, and have the detonation animation look sort of like a bomb drop or death ray beam from above. Could make it deliver a cluster of small detonations to differentiate it from the bombs we have now.

Damage type, statuses, etc? Don't care. I just want to call in an airstrike/orbital bombardment.

That's cool. You could also have it emmit a cloud of smoke and a small drone flies by and drops something before explosion.

@Nicoya-Kitty: Why not?

@Nicoya-Kitty: Why not? Rainbows haven't been this bad ass since..... well, ever.

Fun to use, IMO.

This definitely beats Gravitron Vortex in aesthetic appeal any day. Would be interesting to have an 'airstrike' bomb.
Practically though, you could have the bomb detonate with numerous small blasts arranged in a line, effectively knocking back enemies in two directions. This can grant the user a massive tactical advantage, as it's easier to predict where enemies will go.

I've thought of something

I've thought of something like this before. The target designator has a large radius, but the bombardment is random within that radius. Makes it different enough from other bombs.

It would be cool if the actual wepon was a radio or some high tech communication device, and the charge was the knight talking or seclecting stuff on their device. It could also be knight lighting a flare and then placing it somewhere...except idk how you can see it through solid ground...
Damage would be normal, and i like the random shot idea too, except i wanna keep the idea of a giant lazor coming from the surface. But if it is a ton bombs, i want snipes.

Why not adapt the carpet

Why not adapt the carpet bombs used by the Twins and Tortodrone? Make the bomb a box shaped object. When it detonates (on a short fuse), the side panels slide out to reveal vertical launch tubes, and fires a series of mini rockets into the air. While in the air, the individual strike zones are marked by small bomb circles, and 2 second later the bombs impact.

Its plausible enough to explain how to get a bombardment underground, and different patterns could be applied via alchemy paths.

SO another bomb... but looks like it gets rainbows from nowhere but the sky.... hmm.... GOTZ IT and I want to make one up if you don't mind!
2* Prism Launcher
Description: Another Gremlin's failed attempt to make rainbows come from underground by withdrawing the light from Crystals above. Gremlin says shiny, bomb says another failed attempt to make rainbows.
Deals Elemental Damage, about three damage bars worth of damage. Starts as a faint glowing cylinder that explodes around a small radius (Vaporizer series) and takes 2 seconds to disappear as the cylinder of light shrinks, able to stun enemies caught in the explosion, damaging every half-second for those enemies stuck in the light, still. Extra damage against Fiends.
3* Rainbow Coil
Description: Second failed attempt to make rainbows underground. At least they got the rainbow part down.
Deals about five damage bars worth of Elemental Damage. Starts as a bright five colored cylinder of light that explodes around a medium radius (MKII series) that takes 3 seconds to disappear as the cylinder of light shrinks, damaging enemies still in the light, able to stun enemies caught in the explosion. Extra damage against Fiends.
4* Orbital Rainbow Coil (ORC)
Description: Three in ten Gremlins thought it was very shiny. The seven geniuses ran away in search of a hiding place.
Deals about five bars worth of Elemental Damage. Starts as a bright five colored cylinder of light that explodes around a large radius (*4 MKII series) that takes 3 seconds to disappear as the cylinder of bright light shrinks, damaging enemies still in the light, and explodes with a bright ring. Stuns enemies caught in the explosion, and deals medium damage against Fiends.
5* Ultrared Friendship Orbital (UFO)
Description: It's ironic that it's not made to be friendly with Fiends.
Deals about nine bars worth of Elemental Damage. Explodes with a rainbow ring, which immediately gives damage and starts the light cylinder that grows to be at the very large diameter of the Nitronome, and shrinks within four seconds, able to damage foes with every half second that passes by if they're smack-dab in the middle, able to stun them as well. After four seconds, the bomb explodes once more, but in a small burst of very bright white light. Deals high damage against Fiends.
5* Monochrome Stabilizer
Description: It's ironic that there's not much grey area to cover. Plus, what is there to stabilize?
Deals about nine bars worth of Shadow Damage. It's the same as the UFO, but monochrome, may put the enemy to sleep in the end, and deals high damage against Jellies and Gremlins. It's kind of funny how now Gremlins take high damage and your yummy deserts come into this, since they're the friendliest of most monsters (I bet you don't wanna hug a zombie)

@Heavy, do you even read the posts? Do you see the word BOMB and start brewing up ideas? This is a airstrike/bombardment thread, not a freindly rainbow cloud bomb thread. Save it for nyan cat spammers.

(btw, Starlin, the Twin weapon idea reminds me of MW2, the Javelin. Also it could be obtained with Bark Mods, cuz it makes sense..right?

They could introduce it any

They could introduce it any number of ways. If anything, I would think this would coincide with the Tortodrone reintroduction, and just adding it to Basil's inventory rather then having it gained through tokens.

Sorta works. Get your little tech thingy to work like a bomb by attracting light. Same as getting a radio for a specific location to drop a bomb. Just the radio being a bomb and a bomb being magical glitter dust of doom falling from the sky. Sounds pretty close. ... and what's nyan cat? Oh well. It's a thought. AND PLUS Nicoya asked "Damage type, statuses, etc?" and she/he don't care, so I just go with it and check if she/he sees the bomb thing as she/he had in mind or not. Oh well.

I wouldn't really care if was MLP. As long as you could somehow nuke someone with the power of Rainbows.
Although, the having the missiles fall as if from the Roarmulus Twins is inherently the Better Idea.

That would be waaay cool, and original. It's it's own type, like blast/crystal/haze/or graviton. The more the merrier, I'm assuming it works kinda like the roarmulus twins missiles.
