I highly recommend that a banking system is created in haven.

I am having trouble saving up large sums of crowns
while also trying to propell my knight into the higher teirs.
i would like to be able to store my extra crowns seperately, so that i could
have a pile of crowns steadily and safely growing, without fear of impulse
purchases and last thought arena runs.

If you were to add a banking system, i would add in an intrest mechanic,
so that i spawn extra crowns off of my original hoard.
of course, i would also add a listing fee that depends
on the amount of crowns deposited
so that the bank does not become a free money pot.

The idea is good but it

The idea is good but it involves making crown just by waiting so i guess if OOO would ever introduce it they would require some kind of weekly or montly fee for using bank in CE so they will make money from it too.

I dont see how a bank can be

I dont see how a bank can be a good thing, if it doesnt give intrest whats the point, if it gives intrest, well thats just asking for problems, especialy as any intrest rate posible would favor the crazy wealthy.

If you want your money safely out of your reach and gaining money do the following

put x10 want to buy CE and x10 WTS CE at 3 or 4% higher than your buy price.

The problem with interest is

The problem with interest is that serves purely to create an even bigger divide between the wealthy players and the not so wealthy, which tips the energy market in favour of those with all the money. Either that or the listing fee always outdoes the money earned from interest, which completely defeats the point.

AKA interest in any form will not work.

I suppose without interest it could be a place to store stuff that you won't impulse splurge with (though Three Rings probably doesn't see an actual issue with that), though other than that given our storage it's probably a low priority thing.

Well, the other problem with

Well, the other problem with interest is that it's pumping more Crowns into an economy that's in dire need of more ways to remove money from circulation. We have infinite inventories and infinite capacity for money. Banks are unnecessary. If you're having trouble saving up because you're constantly splurging on stuff you don't really need, I recommend you try not doing that.

I don't buy this "interesting mechanic" line either. Frankly, I'm here to smack monsters with one of my incrementally-improving selection of weapons. If I wanted a virtual chequebook to balance, I wouldn't look to a co-operative action RPG to satisfy the need.

As Effrul already pointed out

As Effrul already pointed out we have an infinite inventory and we need more crown sinks, not crowns being generated by doing nothing. If the bank doesn't give interest then there's no point in using it. If it does give interest then it causes inflation because people can drop all their money in the bank and (depending on the interest rate and how often it kicks in) possibly double their money in a relatively short amount of time.

If you have problems impulse buying you could create a noob knight and mail your money to it to hold. Although the much easier answer is to work on telling yourself "no".
