Is there a cap to damage?
Like if i get a very high vs (monster) weapon + skolver set + damage trinkets
would i do more and more damage?

Nope, there is indeed a cap to damage (when it says Maximum!, you know you've hit it).
You can have '6' in damage--a low increase is 1, medium is 2, etc., until Very High, which is 4. If you have Skolver set (two meds, so 4) and a BTS (med again, 2), you'll hit 6, and that's the max you can have on sword damage bonus. If your sword has a Low vs. Fiends, you wouldn't do more damage against fiends than if you didn't have that UV.
